Longtime Protank 1 user here, and while I know some of the ins and outs of troubleshooting the original model, this new ProTank 2 is a mystery. Last night it worked perfectly. Today at work, however, it began to barely produce vapor, taste a little dry at any wattage, and I noticed lots of juice of was collecting in the mouthpiece socket. Throughout the day I removed the head and cleaned it, cleaned the base that the head screws into, and cleaned the mouthpiece socket out. Didn't make a difference. Battery was fine and the coil is fine. I tested both a moment ago now that I'm home. Anyone else run into this? Know of a fix? Buyer definitely beware on the new model unless there's an easy fix for this.

I'd say maybe a faulty batch? I've had mine for 4 days now and have went through about 4 tank fils, all with 0 gurgling,spitting,leaking,etc..nothing but a great vape here

Damn! Only 4 tank refills in 4 days?! Hell, I did 8 the first day. I'm on day 3, and have no idea how many refills at this point. But not a single leak or issue. The only problem I have is a personal thing- it won't let me vape any higher than 4v, thus its not providing the warm vape that I prefer.

8 refills in 1 day???? You got the mini? Of regular? Savage lmao..I've also had great success vaping all the way up to 4.9 with no burnt taste with a 2.2-2.5 head

Regular... Guess I vape a lot LOL

Seriously though, I would go thru 8 refills per day with the PT2. But with a 3ml Triple V carto tank, I go thru 3 refills per day. So apparently the PT2 burns thru the juice a lot faster for me.

technique?

Long hard draw like an analog, or do you vape with short quick puffs?

Never mind...I'm the FNG here...hah

Sorry

I have noticed if I really hork down on the caps it crushes the really soft silicon gaskets...so instead of really cranking down on em anymore I just lightly snug em up...not sure if that helps...don't want to insult your intelligence

I've tried everything and can't fix this turd. This is the biggest disappointment I've had since I started vaping.

Similar problem i had with my original PT 1, tried all the fixes and nothing helped...bad batch cause the next 3 PT1's and my PT 2 have been fine. Also, never overfill.

Replace the flavor wick with some longer 1or 2mm wick from a old CE4 or any top coil atty if you don't have some onhand. Make sure it sticks out on both ends and trim to match the coil wicking with nail clippers. Kangers kinda cheap on that flavor wick and it doesn't plug up the gap between the bottom of the cap and top of the wick or it just falls into the sides of the coil and just burns.
If you do your own rewicking, you will see exactly what the problem is and what I'm talking about and my protanks and T3's don't leak at all. 2mm hollow ekowool with just a single regular 1mm silica flavor wick fit just perfect onto the protank heads and mine don't leak a drop of juice.

It's cuz you suck! lol just kidding. Seriously though, sounds like it's flooding. You're used to the PT-1 draw, so you're probably sucking too hard on it. It's either that or look at your wicks and see if there are any gaps letting juice into the head. If you replace that silica with cotton and take slower draws, you'll love it. These things are getting so good, there's only a few reasons why any issue could be happening.

In this case:
*Missing o-ring actually doesn't make sense
*Flooding from too much suction or gap in the wicks (i.e. you pulled a "flavor" wick out)

That's it really. Kanger should not only stop making the originals, it's a shame they are still selling them. They're glued together with epoxy that will loosen up with a little heat. The updated version (1.5?) is cool though.

Just don't give up and take it slow. I see fiddle-free devices in your future. Ok that'll be $100 :p
