Help please Juice seems to have little or no flavor

Hey all
I just started using my Ego at the end of last week. I have been trying to use the same juice in it to try out to see which flavors I like since I ordered several menthols from Cignot with my kit.
My issue is that out of the 3 that I have tried none seem to have much flavor. The one that seems to have the most is a PG that is 26mg nicotine. Even with that one it really does not seem satisfying to me still. I am not feeling any kind of throat hit I don't think with any of them.
I am still wanting my old stinkers for that "flavor" that I got from them. I have cut way down and I am very proud of myself for that. I am hoping to totally switch over very soon. I just need to find something that is more satisfying for me to use here.
Any advice?

If you are / were a heavy cigarette smoker, it will take you a while to get all of your taste buds back.
Also I noticed when I first started using a pv, that at first, I didn't get the satisfaction from the PV that I did from my cigarettes..
I smoked 2-2 1/2 packs of full flavor Marlboro's a day for many years...
6 weeks later I vape, and enjoy most all of the flavors.......best of luck....

I had flavor issues as well when I first started. Lucky for me I had a friend who also vaped and had a giant selection of flavors from multiple vendors. Personally I would have thought a juice that was comparing it self to a Marlboro would be a heavy hitter but alas, none were for me. I had to try more then a dozen flavors to find one that gave the TH and flavor I needed to get off the analogs. Dont chain your self down to just 1 specific flavor or vendor. Try them all until you find "the one". As a hard core smoker I figured I wouldnt be happy unless the juice I vaped was tobacco flavor, but to my surprise Atomic Cinacide from tastyvapor at 24mg was my muse.

Thanks Tatooer, I wondered if maybe that might be part of the issue. I know that the smoking over all the years that I have done it has affected my smell and taste. Yes, I have been a heavy smoker for the past few years. That is one reason I really want to get away from it.

I keep a bottle of 36mg for those times my cravings really get out of hand. I am only a month into this so I still get the crave monster really bad 2 or 3 times a day. However! If I try to vape the 36mg normally throughout the day I get an upset stomach and a sore throat.

If your interested in trying the cinacide, order a 48mg bottle and a doubler so you can cut down the dosage. Hold out a small portion at 36mg for those moments when the urge is to much for you (morning coffee is my Achilles heal). I havnt tried to vape at 48mg but from doing the 36 I wouldn't want to, it most likely would make most people sick.

I'm sure that's why he mentioned the doubler. Tasty Vapor, who makes atomic cinnacide, offers 0mg 'doublers' in 4 oz bottles. So it you buy 1 oz of 48mg and add 1 oz doubler you'd have 2oz of 24mg liquid. Mix 3:1 to get 36, 1:1 to get 24, 1:2 to get 16mg and 1:3 to get 12ml liquids. That's ratio of 48mg:0mg liquid.

I,too, had the flavor issues when I started. One thing I noticed was going to a flavor other than "tobacco" seemed to help. Your palate is so used to real tobacco flavor that a weak substitute isn't going to satisfy your taste buds.
I ordered the clove flavor in my original purchase, and I'm glad I did. I could taste it, and it helped me know that I really was getting a hit from the vaporizer. We ordered vanilla with my wife's kit, and it worked well, too. She smokes/d menthol, and didn't like the menthol juice in hers at first. Now, she enjoys it.
I re-tried the USA Tobacco (Marlboro) flavor a few weeks ago, and it tasted better than when I started. Not my favorite, but it had flavor I didn't notice before. I ended up mixing it with the last of my bottle of cloves and a little of the vanilla so I would use it.
Keep at it. Part of the throat hit is just learning to use the equipment to your best advantage.

Indeed, I want to be clear here, I'm not suggesting to anyone to try it at 48mg, I personally would NEVER try it. At 36mg I keep a 5ml bottle of it and drip one or two drops at most to get over the very serious cravings I get a few times a day, you dont want to try to vape at that level much more then that imo.

Lack of taste may be due to the Dekang juice. Look for YNDK on the rim of the childproof caps. If it's Dekang I can vouch that there is inconsistency in the flavors. I would recommend ordering from a US vendor like Tasty Vapor, Ms. T's, or DIY Flavor Shack. Keep the juice you have for emergencies in case you run low on supplies or need it to mix with others to decrease the nic level. And once you get into DIY you can save the bottles for mixing as well.

Hi all. I switched to vaping after 45+ years of smoking 1 1/2 packs a day of non filtered cigarettes. I started with 36mg cartomizers and found coffee flavors most satisfying but not quite enough. After two weeks at 36mg I switched to 48mg and that did the trick. After about 10 days on 48mg it seemed that I was having heart flutters (?) so I got the four ounce flavor doubler from tasty vapors (?) to thin it down. I have thinned down to 24mg but the doubler seems to have too much VG in it and makes the drag too hard. So I cut it one more time with straight black coffee and that did the trick. Now I get good TH, Vapor, and Flavor and when they don't work right I steam clean them and they're just like new again.

I started at 25 ish range, and have mixed my own from the beginning....
30-36 was what did the trick for my nicotine monkey......
If I feel any symptom of to much nicotine, I switch to a bottle of 18.......
so you see everyone is different with vaping.
The flavor cinnamon really did give a heavy throat hit for me as well......from Perfumers apprentice

Thanks everyone. I went over and checked out Tasty Vapor and want to order some Atomic Cinnacide since everyone seems to really like that one. I did see someone had posted that they really liked their tobacco/menthol combo as well. I am tempted to try it too. I wish they had smaller bottles so I didn't have to buy 15 ml at a time but you can't have everything.
I am going to get a higher concentration and use a doubler and the little bottles that they have at TV. Do the little bottles have the mls listed on the side so you know how much you are mixing?
I also have some menthol crystals here that I have used in my bath and body craft products for my sinus blend/aromatherapy stuff. I am tempted to dissolve some of that and see if that helps too.
I guess I just have to keep experimenting until I find the combination that works for me.

Lack of taste could mean everything everyone said already - or it could be the juice you bought isn't that flavorful. Juices vary WILDLY in strength of flavor, which is great for consumers as not everyone wants a heavy flavor but not great for a lot of newbies who need somehting to punch through their deadened taste receptors.
OP you didn't say the juice you bought - was it from the pre-filled carts that come with the PV?
Caff freak listed 3 suppliers I use myself - all very good on flavor - also VS Vapor at vapor station are good with flavor. Once you find a good flavor you may be able to cut back a bit on the nic too.
There are many many excellent juice sellers btw - I just don't recommend any I haven't tried myself (seems unfair lol).
Also: if you find the juice isn't satisfying your 'itch' the way a cig used to, it may not be the nicotine you are having issues with but the lack of MAOI which is not present in ejuices. For that you'd want to wander down to the Smokeless Tobacco section of the forum who can help you get what you are missing without danger of taking in too much nic from your juice

I still am having trouble here and there mainly when having a few beers. My problem is I am constantly chasing Throat Hit, and I have to up my nic to get it...

I just ordered some Diablo Loco from TW, to add to the Throat Hit, so I can drop my nic.

That was my issue. 11mg used to give too much kick, but I soon got used to it. I am way higher now, my initial idea was to drop my nic, but I can't yet...

I do not know if that is your only problem, but this is my plan.

Caffeine Freak I checked my bottles and yes at least 3 of them I can see the YNDK on the labels. As far as the type of juice I am talking about, no these are not prefilled carts but from the sample bottles that I purchased in addition to my Ego kit last week. I was advised to order several different types of menthol to see which one I liked the best. I ordered 5 small bottles. I got
5 ml of Eco Pure Menthol 25 mg
Chill 25mg Menthol
Black Ice 25 mg
PG Menthol 26 mg
VG Menthol 26 mg

So far out of all the ones that I have used, the VG menthol has the best flavor but it is very very very weak.

I had the same problem at first. Many of the flavors just were not strong enough or close to being satifying. I found a few at first that I liked and more later. Some of the ones I didn't like at first I now love. It's a really funny thing. Ry4 has a strong flavor and hit. Cinnimon is also strong. I stopped using the carts and switched to dripping a couple of drops straight on the atty. I get consistantly big hits and flavor. Give it a try it won't hurt and you never know it might be your sweet spot. There is a poll floating around here someplace and I think it's around one person in three who drips rather than use carts or cartomizers. For me it's just more consistant I get bigger warmer hits and I hate messing around trying to get the carts to produce the way I wan't them to.

Oh and don't forget you are also addicted to some of the other chemicals as well as some of the other products of the tobacco plant itself. Once you get over that part vaping seems a whole lot more satifying.

I ordered quite a bit from TV and they enclosed 2 30ml mixing bottles with my order. With that size I just eyeballed a 50-50 mixture figuring I'd be within 1ml off at worst.
