I was gifted some V4L gear and I have never used cartos. This setup is for my father in law and I want to be prepared to get him started the right, easiest way. The cartos I received are not flavors I think he will care for, so I would like to refill them with flavors he will care for. Problem is... they are brand new, full carts. Is there anything I can do? And what is the easiest way for a 60+ year man to refill his carts?

Thanks in advance for everything. ANY and ALL useful/helpful information will be appreciated. Please help me help my father in law obtain his goal of being a non-smoker. His heart depends on it.

My cartos last about 4 hours! I vape the heck out of them. Ron are you using cartomizers or carts with an atomizer (3 piece) If you are then 2 hours is good for them.

Beattysgirl, Are positive he will not like the flavors? You might be surprised. But what I do to clean cartos is to hold them under a runnibg hot water, then blow from the battery end and rinse again. Shake the heck out of them to get the water out..like a thermometer.
I hate to see juice wasted..can't you vape them?

O by the way. Refilling is not necessary but it can be done and does save money. However, the easiest way to use this product is just buying packs of cartomizers. That is what I do.

That's a good point. Refilling is not really necessary, and the cartomizers are only approximately a couple bucks.

I do refill some at the moment, but no more than once or twice.

Idaho Ron,

Did you pull the white plastic caps off before you boiled them? Just asking because I watched the video Niluis made on boiling them and was going to try it myself. Please let me know what you did so I can avoid making the same mistake.:)

Thanks,

Steve

Mary, they are tobacco flavors that I am not interested in either, unfortunately. I tried them last night. Thank you for your simple answer.

And thank you to everyone else who gave me tips as well.

Beattygirl...did you just call me simple! :p Just teasing you!

I am a bit confused. Tobacco flavors are what most guys really like..at least first!

If he doesn't want to 'mess around' with the stuff, then just order new cartos, and that way he won't have to mess around with anything, no washing and refilling. Being on a budget, cartos are still way cheaper than smoking. Also, going straight from smoking to vaping, he will need various tobacco samplers to gauge his taste for whats out there, let him experiment with flavors. Once he gets to liking the vaping experience and sticks too it, he would be more likely to refill and 'mess around' with it to save even more money.

"And what is the easiest way for a 60+ year man to refill his carts?"

I'd think pretty much the same way easiest for a 20+ year man, except he'll likely catch on more quickly, having fiddled with stuff for a longer while.

(I rarely growl, but will not deny myself this one.)

Nice of you, though, and good luck to all, she muttered darkly.

Would you define "ruined" (which is what I'm betting you meant). "Ruined" how, exactly? And what type of carto (cartomizer) were these? V4L Soft Cap Premium, V4L Hard Cap Premium, V4L Regular

I'm assuming you boiled them in water, right? After boiling, you rinsed and dried them how? And then we're back to the "ruined" how? A little more specifics would help since dozens, maybe hundreds of people are doing this with clock-like regularity and having no issues...
