Hi all, I'm after some advice on which one of these should be my first e-cig. I currently smoke Cutters Choice roll ups, lots of em!!!!Time to give up now but i enjoy a 'smoke'.
I've narrowed down my search to this trio:
Titan 510
Mirage M401
EVO M401

Any advice you have on which juice to use would be appreciated too.

Cheers

welcome JD.

For a rollie smoker forget the 401 variants they won't cut the mustard and are a pain in the ... to top up ..your best bet out of your picks is the 510, or even a 901 ( i think they call them the mini on Totally wicked )

As for juice , horses for courses really. the safest advice is to start low and work out if you need to go up or not . But I like you was a heavy Golden virginia man and I like to stick to 24mg liquid with a bit of 36mg now and then , but that's me.

The flavour is up to you , currently i've got some 36mg marlbro with some 18mg vannila in the mix to sweeten it up a bit.

Flavor is down to your tastebuds, if I was you I would see if you can find some small bottles and get a few flavors and then order bigger bottles of the liquid you like, don't be like me and have 30ml of a flavor you don't even like :p

I would reccomend the 510 as well, I have tried the 901 but the 510 hit + vapor production I just find better.

Plus the 510 has the carry case which is a must imho.

Thanks for your comments. Im still torn between the 510 and the EVO 401.

I've checked out the video reviews from Scott Bonner and the 510 seems the best vapour producer however battery life seems to be a real issue. Also it burns hotter than the others so I assume the atomisers fail sooner and the hotter atomiser decreases the taste of the juice.

It seems that the 401 sold by Intellicig is an upgraded model and far outperformes other 410 variants.

Going to have to make a decision soon though......................

To counter the battery life, buy a spare pack (x5) of manual batteries, and keep them charged by rotation. I decided that this was better than buying the portable charger for the 510.

Don't worry about atomiser issues. I haven't had one fail on me yet (out of 2), and i've had a Titan 2 months

Well, I haven't used a 901, but I have used a Titan, but I am a confirmed Evo and Ecopure fan!

The Titan does have the advantage of having the option of a manual battery, but I prefer my Evo because of the reliability, the battery life, the size (not so much the length, but the width. The Evo is standard cigarette width whereas the Titan is wider, so I'm guessing that as a rollie smoker, you would have found the Titan a MONSTER!), he great flavour it gives, and it's looks.

Yes the carts are smaller, but the Evo is economical with liquid, plus they wick all the way down, so I don't find them a pain at all.

In my experience, yes, a good Titan battery and atomizer will give you a greater hit and vapour, but there isn't the h-u-g-e difference in these two aspects that others seems to think there is. A good Evo will give an average Titan a good run for it's money on these two points (especially loaded with Ecopure).

In any event, I get a greater hit and more vapour from my Evo than I ever did from traditional cigarettes, so I am happy :)

For general info: I used to smoke either medium or fairly high strength cigarettes - about a pack/pack and a half a day, and I switched completely over to e-cigs the day my Evo arrived.... without intending to! I only intended to cut down on my cigarette use using the e-cig, but it didn't quite work out that way ;)

Reason i dont recommend the EVO is the batteries.I have 5 genie batts and 4 atom ( smaller ) batts and most of them like shutting off for 2 mins for no reason..I just got fed up with it. The atties are good tho and work great on a manual 3.7volt mod, which is what i ended up doing.

I also got a litecig USA 401 , the batteries are programmed differently and they work fine , but it's the fiddly carts that run dry too quick that puts me off , never use that either it's virtually new in the box..never know tho , one day it may be used...if I'm desperate.

There are plenty of people out there that love the EVO..I mean it is a great 401 when its working well , battery life with genie batts is exceptional and charging through the USB charger take half an hour..it does have some good plus points..I just wouldn't recommend it as a first ecig...

you'll no doubt end up buying other models if you stick with vaping anyway , I'm sure you'll love your purchase, and any questions just throw them out there :)
