Hi,

I'm just about to take the plunge and get my 1st e-cig. I've narrowed it down to the TECC TITAN 510, the Mirage M401 and the Intellicig Evo M401.

Im put off the TITAN by the battery life which according to reviews is really bad but I really like the sound of its performance as a vapour producer.

Is there a difference between the Mirage and and Evo 401's?
I see from the Mirage website that they don't sell refill cartridges so how do you top it up with juice?

And lastly, er for now anyway, what is the best way to smoke. I've read about direct dripping onto the atomiser and refilling cartridges.

Any advice on this would be really be appreciated.

All the best
Jack

510 with a PCC is the best out of those choice. the PCC will charge a battery while you use another. the manual battery just wins in my opinion. the manual battery fires when you push the button. loud noises and breezes dont set it off. the cart filler on the 401 is waaaaay recessed into the cart, as the atty is an "outie". the 510 atty is an "innie". like bellybuttons! the batteries on the 510 are sealed, so it is dripping friendly, should be so inclined. also keeps the excess juice from leakages out. liquid in the battery can hose it.

i was perfectly happy using carts with my 510. until i got my prodigy. that thing is made for dripping. heck, i dont even have the plastic tip on my atty half the time, i just tailpipe it. im not sure about this, but there arent very many mods out there that use a 401 atty that i have seen. someone can correct me if im wrong im sure. so if you stockpile attys and then decide to go the mod route, you will be hard pressed to find one that works with your 401 attys.

PS welcome to the forums!

510 rocks!

You might consider also getting a few of the new longer life batteries to help for when you take it out and about (and don't want to mess with a PCC, however you can't recharge those in a PCC due to a longer size). Only Totally Wicked has them. For a small PV the 510 is a near perfect first e-cig imo. Small cartridge size is an issue, but then you can carry some carts that you prefill yourself along with you if you don't want to fill from a bottle when you out. If you learn to use the Lipton Gossamer Teabag modification for filling, it really helps with the cartridge life too. I usually put a drip or two on the atomizer and refill the cartridge on the 510, and it provides for a nice long vape. A passthrough with this model at home eliminates battery concerns.

theelectroniccigarettecompany . com also has the extended manual batts for same price. Unsure about shipping cost differences or coupon codes with either company but doing a bit of research wouldnt be too difficult here :)

Oh and can you tell me what a passthrough is please

A passthrough has a usb connection, a cable, (sometimes a battery case inline - 510 for example) and the battery casing of the ecig usually with a manual button. You use it for when you're near a usb port to keep from having to change out batteries. So when you're at the computer, or in the living room watching tv (a usb wall plug is needed) or in the car (a usb car plug is needed) you can still be vaping. You need the atomizer and a cart of course in order to use the usb passthrough. They cost for the 510 anywhere from I think I've seen as low as $11 and as much as $29 in the regular form and over $50? for the 'heavy duty' jobs at puresmoker.com.

They're almost a 'necessity' with the 510 as is the PCC - personal chargeing case that lets you recharge batteries on the go.
