My first charge (used both XL out of the box). My light just turned green on the 1st one...both need charging...so can I use it now the light turned green or do I have to do like the manual said and let it charge for 8 hours?

same here. lith ion batts have no memory (they say) And ego batts you can't over dischager. They shut off before hand. I've beaten the crap outta mine for the last three months and still going strong!
