I haven't used either yet but personally would get the ego T and also buy some cartos at the same time. The eGo attys and cartos will fit the T batteries (and vice versa) so you can try many different options with the same battery. I'm sure someone else can give an answer about the differences between the Type A and B setups but the batteries are mostly the same. At least the threading is. I think most of the T kits use a newer batter that you can disable using multiple button click to prevent them from accidentally turning on in a pocket or purse.

I just got an ego T kit (type A). Since I own a joye 510, I have the "regular" 510 atomizers at my disposal (I got one cone to make it look better). Both set up work well with the battery and I haven't decided which one I like best.

I like the flexibility of being able to use the tank or the atty / cartridge combo. The tank doesn't have as much of a TH and the taste is weaker, but lasts a lot longer. It's great for when you don't want to be refilling (while driving, for example). I haven't had leaks issues so far (2 days). The "regular" atty / cartridge combo gives me the stronger taste and TH I like, but I need to have a bottle of juice nearby and be able to refill often.

On type A the atty is tapered kinda like an ego with a cone and holds about 1ml liquid. Type B is a straight cylinder with a deeper tank and holds about 2ml. Some people don't like the tank system but it's mostly what my wife and I use. I use cartos once in a while for various reasons. Since moving to the type B with a LR atty the flavor and throat hit are great. I rinse them in hot water every few days and haven't experienced the leaking or dry hit problem some have.

I like my ego better than anything else (including mini-reo) that I have tried. Ego type b is suited for bigger atty's and cartos. The atty's in my experience produce a cooler vapor but leak and need to be blown out a least a couple times a day. The cartos I have just recently tried are amazing. Great throat hit, lots of vapor, good flavor, no leaks thus far and one carto lasted me 13 hours today without refilling. I have yet to try my new dual coil cartos that came in the mail today. The tank system is ...meh. Okay. Harsher, less vapor, less flavor, but reliable in that you don't have leaks.
