Take the tank off and press the fire bar. It should say "NO COIL". After that, screw the tank back on and press the fire bar again. It should ask if you are using a new coil and show the resistance. After that process you should be good
I tried that. It reads my old tank but won't read my new cloud beast tank. But now that I put my old tank back on it won't fire.

Did you repeat the process when switching back to your old tank? My guess is this is a coil issue. Need more information pertaining to what is actually happening when you screw either tank on. Does it read the estimated resistance on each coil correctly? Are you doing the whole process as explained in my last post?
It's not reading the resistance when I use the Tfv8 cloud beast tank. I've switched coils in it and tried 2 different ones. But if I use my old tank on it then it's reading the resistance but not firing. I'm thinking maybe my mod is acting up ???

It could be the chip in the mod, or it might be the 510 pin on the tank. One thing to try is to make sure the coil is screwed all the way in to the base of the tank. Then make sure the tank is screwed on tight (but not too tight) onto the mod. If that doesn't work, try a new coil. Sometimes you can get dud coils that won't work.

Thank you! I'll try that. I got so frustrated earlier today I quit messing with it so I'll go back and try again.
