Heya all-

I have a bunch of nice 0 mg liquids. I enjoy them & I don't wish to waste them. But my "cold turkey" plan didn't work & I'm now vaping 6 mg juice.

I'm trying to figure out how to add some nic to my 0 mg juices without diluting them a lot. If I got 12 mg unflavored juice & mixed it in even amounts with the 0 mg, then I'd end up with 6 mg, but the juice would be awfully diluted. So, I'm pondering getting a stronger unflavored liquid - like 60 mg. That should work, in theory.

For example... If I had 100 ml of 0 mg liquid & added 10 ml of 60 mg liquid, then I'd end up with 110 ml of 6 mg liquid. That's all fine, but... I don't have 100 ml bottles of anything. I believe the largest bottle of 0 mg liquid I have is just 20 ml. Which would mean 2 ml of 60 mg liquid. That seems like a terribly small amount.

My question, then, is : Would that actually work? I mean, I know the math it right & all, but working with such small amounts, I'm wondering if there would be a problem with the liquids mixing up in a consistent way. i.e. if I have only 2 ml of 60 mg mixed in with 20 ml of 0 mg, will the nic really distribute itself properly throughout the bottle? I would hate to be vaping along and suddenly hit a "lump" of really high nic & kill myself. I don't remember chemistry well enough to be certain how the solubility would work out.

Any thoughts? - Thanks - RR

It will work fine. Just shake a little and it will be mixed.

For measuring smallish amounts accurately there are 1ml syringes marked in 1/10 intervals. I asked for a measuring syringe at a local drugstore and they just gave me one.

A note about the mix ratio: If you want exactly 6mg in the result then mix the 60mg liquid in a 1:9 ratio, e.g. 1 ml of 60mg per 9ml of 0mg.

Yep... 60 mg liquid will work. Since it is strong you won't dilute the flavor of what you have by much and you can tailor your nicotine level easily as Mister recommended. If you want to mix small amounts at a time and you aren't worried about being super accurate you could mix using the number of drops.

One drop 60 mg with 9 drops 0 mg would give you 6 mg/ml.
Two drops 60 mg with 8 drops 0 mg would give you 12 mg/ml.
Three drops 60 mg with 7 drops 0 mg would give you 18 mg/ml.
Four drops 60 mg with 6 drops 0 mg would give you 24 mg/ml.

If you want to mix larger quantities at a time just substitute any measure for drops.
(i.e., 2 ml 60 mg with 8 ml 0 mg would give you 12 mg/ml.) As long as the ratios remain the same it will be consistent.

Be sure to shake well!!!!!

Thank you both for the information & reassurance. When I was doing the calculations I got off on a tangent wondering about molecular structure & chemical bonds & got myself all paranoid. (Especially since I flunked chemistry. Haha).

Just wanted to be sure on safety before I started fooling around with a high nicotine content liquid. Do you think I'd be better off with something less than 60 mg or would that cause too much dilution?

Thanks again - RR

If you can get 60mg (from a supplier you trust/like/etc), that's the way to go, and the best bang for your buck!

Also, along the lines of a previous post about counting drops- you can also use the drop method to convert to ml- there is (usually) about 20 drops in a ml. I don't recommend using that calculation for large amounts, but if you have 2 ml of a juice you want to amp up, you could add 4 drops of 60mg to it and get to almost 6mg potency.

Again, I wouldn't be too worried about getting spot on 6mg in small quantities, but if you're going to mix more than 5ml at a time, consider getting a measuring syringe/pipette like others recommend above.

Weaker would probably dilute more than you would be happy with. You should be okay with 60 mg unless you are a complete klutz! LOL

No need to be paranoid, but don't let it sit on your skin for any length of time. Think of it like lye. You don't want it on your skin, clothes or surfaces. In any case, be sure to be careful with it. Clean up after yourself and if you get any on your hands wash them off.

Make sure you don't mess with it around kids and pets. Lock yourself in the bathroom if needed!

Hehe thank you. I guess I am a bit paranoid. One of my samples that was supposed to be 0 mg ended up inadvertently as 20 mg & I didn't notice until I'd been feeling terrible for a couple days. So, I know I'm sensitive to higher strengths.

My main concern was that the liquids would mix properly, and it sounds like that should be fine, so I'll go ahead with it carefully & give it a shot.

Thanks all for the advice - RR
