BTW, as a gentle bump, an a FYI - I do not know whether this counts as another entry or not, however I forgot to mention in my first post to this thread for the contest that of course I also signed the petition too.

Uncle, signing the petition does not count, I am afraid, only sharing it. I think signing the petition to win a prize would probably invalidate the petition, because people should sign because they care, not because they want to win a prize. The aim of the competition is to spread the word to more people who might care.

Thanks - I actually knew that might be a reason for not posting that here, however what I really wanted to do was give this thread a "bump" since it didn't seem to be moving at alll over the weekend . . . Hope you didn't mind . . .

BTW: I agree with you - without-a-doubt the petition needs at least 6000 sigs - if not more . . .

And on that note, just as an FYI: in the past couple of weeks, I finally heard back from another 10 friends who - although they didn't really understand the need for the petition, after I mentioned to them what was happening (i.e., the "Big" Tobacco and Drug Companies interest) and why it was important to me and the rest of the "vaping" community - they decided to sign - YAY ! ! ! Now if I could only get a few more of them to get on board . . .

I agree! I hope we hit 6000! would make quite a statement! Iknow Uncle had quite a few of his friend sign it, I've had about 35 of mine, including family sign it! It is important to get the info out!

I have been trying to urge people NOT to stop just because it reached the 5,000 mark, and explain about needing a 'buffer'... but I'm not sure how much good it has done...

I just made the rounds and posted a message in every thread that had anything to do with the Petition, reminding people that this was the LAST day to get their sigs in... except for the ones that tybin had already beat me to... LOL!! (Thanks!!)

There were at least 47 of them from what I found in the search I did, although some were duplicates... and another name that kept coming up as a person who started a lot of them was xmas7579, so I would like to give them a big Thank You as well...

And another HUGE Thanks to James, for all of his efforts to help out us Yanks, by offering some lovely incentives to get us off of our lazy and get the ball rolling!!!

I have some things to do today, but will BBL to give them a nice friendly little 'bump', just to keep them on top...
