Thanks Thrasher.
Man this forum is so full of uber helpful people. Real real nice !
I guess the carto tank is the way to go, at least at first, due to better flavor as I think you mentioned. I can learn how to prime it or fill it later. Probably comes with instructions.
So it seems just a lot of samples and stuff at first.
Little samples of different juices, some clearos or carto tanks with different heads and extra cartos, an extra battery or so, drip tip, sleeve for looks ( where the tank meets the battery ). I know I'm missing something. I hopefully can call whichever place I buy it from and they can talk me through an order and I can bombard them with questions.

Don't worry too much, just get those few things and work it out slowly. ( Listen to me giving myself advice hahahaha ).
I need to decide if I would rather have the 1000mah battery or the 650mah.

A few tips on juices:

1) as with MOST things, cheaper isn't necessarily going to cost you less in the long run. If a juice is $3/10ml, but you need to vape 3ml a day to feel satisfied and it makes your throat hurt an gives you terrible dry-mouth, but a $6/10ml juice is so satisying that you only vape 1ml/day and your throat isn't sore and you only need to sip a glass of water now and then the "more expensive" juice is actually the same "price", AND you feel better and enjoy the experience more, which is priceless...

2) Cheaper juices often are made from Chinese ingredients, which are sometimes lower quality. Look at the small "boutique" companies here in the US like "Alice in Vapeland", "Heathers Heavenly Tobacco", "Highbrow", "Halo" and some of the other smaller companies. Their juices are a little more expensive, but they taste GREAT, have tons of vapor and can be customize to ANY blend you want for VG/PG.

3) if you were a pack-a-day Winston smoker, you'll probably want to look at juices with higher PG levels for the throat hit. Juices with higher VG will be smoother, but won't give you that feeling in your throat that a Winston does, and probably won't be satisfying, so you'll vape a LOT more. And don't worry about trying to find a juice that replicates your brand--such a juice probably does not exist. You might find something close, but in my opinion, NOBODY makes an e-liquid that actually tastes like a "real" ciggie--and that is a good thing, because when you get down to it, even the really expensive high-end ciggies like Nat Shermans taste like burnt, charred ......

Find a flavor that you like, and buy it from several vendors. Fruit flavors, "bakery" flavors, and "tobacco" flavors (which are more like good pipe tobacco than a ciggie) are popular, and there are some GREAT juices out there. Pretty soon, you'll actually forget what a ciggie really tastes like, and you'll be looking for (and open to) more and more exotic flavor.

Also, you might want to look at vanilla and caramel-based flavors if you were a Winston smoker.

Hope that helps. Let us know how you're progressing, and STAY WITH IT.

The simple fact is that the first time, you weren't ready to quit the ciggies, and THAT is why you went back. It wasn't the equipment, or the flavors or the cost--it was YOU, and you just weren't ready to make the commitment. Hopefully you are more dedicated to the cause now,and we're here to help!

So good luck, and keep on vaping!

i use kanger T2 clearos and vision vivi nova .

Thrasher I just saw a video on that. So the head of that is basically just a short carto, is that right ?
You just screw the head in, and put juice down the middle opening of the head until it fills that tank.
And I guess that head lasts about a week or two, something like that.

If I'm understanding that properly, it sounds like the easiest and troublefree/convenient way to get some inexpensive vaping.

I am thinking of going that route now. Excited !!

only thing i can say about the two batts is longer life VS less bulk. the 650 is smaller but the 1000 should last most of the day if not more. (well not at first because we get vape happy whem we start and go weee this is cool)

Very nice post Stereo Dreamer, thanks a lot !!
I didn't realize all that about the differences in the juice. I will definitely be getting the premium blends with some more pg than I orgiinally thought. The experience has to be totally satisfying for me so there ya go. I do like the idea of vanilla and caramel too.
Man I almost feel like I'm ready. Except for how do you mix and store the vg and pg stuff. I guess I can ask the vendor that when I buy them ? Or do these good vendors you recommened already sell them with a ratio ?

Thanks again !

these are not cartos, the head is just a little coil of wire with a candle like wick in it. very simple, fill the tank and go. get a few heads get used to it and come back here for some head cleaning instructions lol and you can have heads last you or a month easy........... I love the T2 I can get such good vape off of them and so far they never leaked. the novi is a bit more rebuildable then the T2 but they are both very easy to use lol

On the battery size. If you are out of the house all day, I would go for the 1000 mAh battery. If you want to be stealth, then go for a smaller 650 mAh. The rule of thumb on battery cycle times is allegedly 100 mAh=1 hour vaping. This is only a guessimate. It will depend on what OHM head you use, and at what voltage one sets it at. My 1000 mAh Twists lasts me about 8 hours on average. Of course, I'm a chain vaper.

On the juices, I'm not so sure the more expensive juices will be as cheap because the "one will use less" theory. That's not the case for me. I've used Highbrow, RAWR, and ECBlend. All are USA made, all of them last me the same amount of time. I really like all three vendors, and will continue to purchase from all three. I tend to buy more of the ECBlend though because I'm cheap, and need to save a few bucks here and there. Just buy small samples from different vendors and find which one is best for you. No one vendor will satisfy everyone. You may also try Back Wood Brew, as they get high reviews as the others I've mentioned. Sorry I didn't take time to provide the links. Googling is a simple thing these days!

Thanks Thrasher.

One thing I highly suggest is many juices need to be steeped or "aged" before using them. Some do not taste too good fresh from the bottle.

Shake the bottle well, open the cap and remove the dripper tip. Set it in a dark place for a few days. Shake the bottle occasionally. Some tobacco juices need up to a month before they taste right.

Wow. I would've never guessed that. Thanks for the tip. Kind of like a fine wine or something. :)))

uh oh, not sure if I ordered all the right things then? I ordered an ego twist 650 mah and a stardust. Is that a good combo for flavor? Do I need anything else to go with that besides juice or just the two? confused now lol.
You will need juice for that. Also a charger if the twist didn't come with one. Thats a fine combo, started out with that myself.

So today i am ready to order. Have a question about the resistance of the Kanger T2 Clearos. It comes with a 2.2 ohm head. I assume I should order to of them so I have one in case the tank leaks, cracks or anything.
But I don't know what would be my preferred resistance on that battery. Maybe it doesn't matter as much because of the variable voltage ?
But I should order a couple of replacement coil heads, and am wondering which ohms to order. They have 1.7 ohm all the way to 3 ohms.
How should I decide on that ?

Thanks !
