Does anyone vape a commercially available juice that they can confirm does not gunk up their coils/wicks? By confirm, I mean can you say first hand that your wicks last a week or more with your liquid (say ~100ml of use). If so, please link it.

I have to change my wick every day (see pics), and I have already ruled out any other variables.

Sweet juices will gung a coil pretty quick. The ONLY juice I can CONFIRM that will meet your requirements is completely unflavored juice. Just order nic base by the liter in whatever nic strength and ratio of VG/PG you wish.
This.

I rewick about once a week and vape a pretty clean juice. Which I make.

I am running a coil called Notched Coil........and it seems to stay clean no matter what kind of juice I use.........................

You can google/search..........Notched Coils and see what they look like...............also try and keep the power lowered on your mod and still get a good tasty vape...

with all the power and heat that any coil gets it is pretty hard to keep it from getting black and gunky..........................bound to turn dark as the natural sugars get

carmelized with all the heat.....................

Yes, I understand that completely unflavored juice will vape clean, but if I'm I'm going to start vaping unflavored then I might as well quit vaping, or go back to cigarettes.

No, there has to be a commercial juice someone is vaping that works for them. It's a given that ALL wicks will eventually gunk, scorch, burn, or otherwise need replacing, but this should take more than 24 hours, and in some cases a week or more. I've just had bad luck with juice picking, so I'd like a recommendation.

As in:
"Hi! Yea, I vape XYZ 80/20 vg/pg. My wick lasts a week. Try it out!"

I vape Nicoticket juices almost exclusively, and they are pretty sweet. That doesn't help you, but this might: One thing I observed was the juices with a high percentage of VG (namely Mah Peeps and Spiced Pumpkin Cheesecake, neither of which are up right now) were very very kind to my coils and wicks, they'd last what seemed like forever. If you've ever perused the Rayon thread (in Wick and Wire forum), you'll see all sorts of folks vaping 100's of ml's, and they're on a juice with at least an 80/20 vg/pg ratio. So, if you have the option, go for higher VG.
Also, if you're not using Rayon as your wick, I can vouch that it gave me 3-4 times the wick/coil life, even with those sweeter juices.

So VG may be helpful? My liquid is 60/40 pg/vg. I could try max vg and see what happens.

Also, and I'm just spit balling here, but if I can't get any juice recommendations, what if I cut my juice with a base, say VG? I vape 3mg, so what if I order 6mg and cut it 50/50 with unflavored pure vg? There would only be half the flavoring, but I'd still be getting some flavor, and maybe my wick would last longer?

Oh and, yea, I'm using 100% Rayon already. :-/

It seems a lot of you DIY. Is that the only way to solve this?

If you can find a clear juice that you like it would probably burn a lot cleaner and not gunk up so fast.....................................if a vaping device/coil is going

to get hot enough to vaporize liquid it will probably get brown and gunked after a while.......................but in 24 hours.....seems like a short time....I see your point..

happy to see you are not running your device at extreme watts like a lot of people......

I used to get around a week with my store bought juice on a nautilus with pre built coils.I used to buy a bottle of store bought and mix it with unflavored into thirds so i ended up with three bottles. My mix was and still is 50vg/50 pg.

Somewhere out there
Try a DIY fruit flavor, I mix several that are clear juices and they keep pretty clean, I only use a drop of sweetener. One I can't put down is apricot, whipped cream and yellow cake, equal parts basically but I added a couple more drops of apricot. Yummmm :)

Still it looked like one side of the coil was gunked far more than the other side.
this indicates the airflow is not proper for the wattage used.
What are you vaping that coil in? I did not recognize the atty.

It's a Taifun GT II.

I have a Kayfun5 on order that I hope will help, but I'm pretty convinced it's my juice.

I make a 7% flavor total Vanilla Custard based on CAP VC V1 and use a tiny bit of liquid stevia sweetener and get about 60 ml thru a coil in a STM before rewicking.
This is very interesting, but how do you do this? I realize this is a Pandora's box type question....
