Hello my fellow vapers! I have not posted since first investigating and researching this whole vaping thing way back in December 2010. It may have been even longer, but I wanted to announce that I smoked my last ciggy on February 1st and have no desire to smoke ever again! I am so thankful for the veterans here and this website! Without this wealth of first hand experience and knowledge, I'm not sure I would have been able to do it. After 30 years, and trying every quitting method, this is the ONLY thing that has worked! I admit, throughout Dec and Jan I smoked and vaped, but the day came when I just decided I could do it. Thank you!

Now, for the real reason I am posting: I was just reading the My Starbucks Idea website and a fellow vapor posted a well written idea for Starbucks to allow vaping in their stores. I am very familiar with this site, and I know there are about 10 evil trolls who create a lot of negativity on the site and have multiple accounts they use vote down ideas. I thought it would be nice to get some support from the vaping community, so I am hoping that as many of you as possible will go to the site and find the idea - look under Recent Ideas and keep scrolling through until you find it, titled 'Allow e-cigarettes in the stores.' You will have to register with a user name, but it's very simple and they don't ask for any personal info.

Please make a positive comment and vote the idea up. I think there are a lot of people who don't understand what it is and I hate to see the trolls kill the idea before it gets out of the gate. They had it voted down 110 points but I called a few of my family members and friends to support the idea and we've got it up in the positive numbers now.

Moderators, I apologize if I've done wrong in any way and I will understand if this comment is moved or removed.

Thank you so much for your support.

It's a good start. Anything to help create awareness helps. When I first started using a PV over 2yrs ago I had a model that looked just like an analog ( it was a nasty little thing, used to leave me with a sore throat for days) and used to get complaints all the time while out in public using it. I use something a little more modern now and find that I don't get approached about it so negatively now or as much as I used to. I think this is due to two things: Great efforts such as this one to spread knowledge and less offensive ecig designs. Applause all around.

I gave my support. I am surprised that Starbucks actually made it corporate policy to disallow vaping. I've always said "the squeaky wheel should be educated or replaced." Of course, if everybody sought to educate themselves and do right by others at all times, this would be a boring world, wouldn't it? Does that opinion make me an anarchist? :p

go for it. i work for starbucks and one thing we do like to do is keep our customers happy. if enough people say something about it we can get some positive action on it. as i understand it now, starbucks is a smoke-free environment. however, electronic cigarettes are included in that, but i think enough voice from customers would change that. =)

I'd vote for a vaping area where there would be air filtration. It does cause an odor, especially VG vapor. It's not 1/1000th as offensive as cigarettes but the anti-smoking zealots would smell it at the first sight of vapor. I vaped Nhaler's 100% PG liquid the first few months and I couldn't smell any bad odor. My office and car started smelling musty when I switched to higher VG juices. I enjoy the thick heavy vapor that VG produces but it does cause an odor and a film on eyeglasses, computer screens, windshields and such. Inexpensive air filtration solves the issue. I never noticed it at home because we have air purifiers (big animal lovers, lots of dander). it's not a big deal but the anti-smoking police would make it one.

I voted and posted - thanks for bringing this to everyone's attention here.

If people are so inclined, it would also help to post on John Heald's blog about vaping. He was instrumental in getting Carnival Cruise Lines to allow vaping everywhere except the dining rooms and now the've reversed that decision due to non-smokers thinking they are inhaling nicotine from the air. We need industry leaders to educate themselves and the public by example.

Not all juice causes an odor. But I get what you're saying.

I was so pleased to wake up and find so many comments! Thank you so much for not letting the trolls win! By the time this evening hits, the worst ones will be out, so I do hope you will revisit the site. I will definitely check John Heald's Blog and see if I can rally even more support! You people... sniff... you make me so proud! :*)
