Help! Trying to decide!!

Hello all from the beautiful pacific northwest US,

I've been smoking on & off for more years than I care to say, and only recently learned about E-cigs. I've been reading about different manufacturers (Puresmoker.com, Epuffer, Smokingeverywhere, Gamucci, njoy, Smartfixx, Minicigarette...etc.) I am starting to feel a bit overwhelmed and I fear my head may explode.

I am leaning towards Puresmoker based on what I've been reading here...other than size, what's the difference between the Classic ecig or Mini 901?

I've never smoked menthols or flavored cigs...have mostly smoked Marlboro Lights and more recently American Spirits.

You know what they say about opinions......but still, I'd appreciate some insight & advice from anyone willing to take the time.

Welcome raingirl! Im kinda new to the whole ecig thing as well and I just purchased the Crown7 Hydro. I got it and it seems to be going great. I just wanted to say one reason I went with them is because I read about there A+++ Customer service along with the products. So theres my 2 cents.

I guess the classic is longer like a 100 and the mini is more like a king. At least that is what my friend says. I had the same question at first. Also if you order from Puresmoker.com they ship fast like I order on tuesday night and had my order by friday morning.

carts don't last as long, also they're harder to fill with liquid and they don't hold much

It costs $4-9 more per shipment but e-smokeytreats use of Priority Mail over parcel post makes all the difference!

When I presented my Bro n' Sis in law there DSE901's I made sure both batteries were charged so we could sample the diffrent Johnson Creek liquids I ordered for them. Loved it so much I place a second order with em.

Yes puresmoker.com is cheaper but they burnt their bridge with me. Every time I got an EST order in the mail, it made me wonder whats going on with my PS order?! Since our order was over $100 we won free shipping, but if that means he uses the slowest shipping possible, I'm the looser.

if u tend to be a light smoker the 901 should fit the job perfectly. if u are gonna use it more the a few cigs worth a day i would get a second 901 or go with the classic pen style.

wow, puresmoker has had very fast shipping to me. Maybe I'm just "special" just kidding. That is an unusual complaint for Steve's customer service! But we need to spread the wealth and if you have received quicker shipping and better customer service...hard to believe, but could be very true, no offense to other 901 suppliers, keep using them and I totally understand why you would promote them. Do what works for you. I recommend a newbie to do a search on 901s and see who they want to deal with through that. Maybe it depends on what part of the country you live...then again, puresmoker is in California and I am in Maryland, he has shipped my order that day or the next if I made it at night, priority, and got it in 2 days, unless there is a Sunday involved in the shipping days. That is my experience.

Your right Kimmie, shipment is to LA California, so were a bit upset its taking so long. shawnp1 brings up a good point with how much you smoke. I'm a light smoker so 901's work fine for me. I think we have sufficiently twisted raingirls head off with all the choices.

well here's another opinion for you, i'm new to this as well, but i don't usually do things without researching them a bit.

as far as minis vs pen style goes, i think it's a personal preference. everyone says penstyle is more of a work horse, i don't have one, so i cant give you my take on those. the minis (901s) are small and easy to take around with you, they are more the size of a cig, you can hold it like one, they are lighter, that's why i like them.

as far as brands go, there are a couple schools of thought here:

1) if you order from places like NJOY, Janty, Smartfixx, etc. you will get a warranty. That means when something breaks down (and it WILL) you get a replacement for "free." I say for free in quotes because you will pay more upfront for these brands (often 100% more), however, depeding on how long things last, you coud save a lot having them replace these parts for you vs buying them.

2) you could go with the cheaper generics at places like puresmoker, e-smokey, etc. you will pay less, things will break, and the replacements are on your dime.

Mind you when things break, if you don't have a backup unit, you're going to be waiting to e-smoke until the replacement arrives in the mail. If you're trying to trade cigs for e-cigs, get a backup so you're not high and dry when something goes wrong.

In the end, I didn't know which would work out cheaper, so i bought one "high end" warranty ecig, and one generic. Once I get a feel for how long parts last, i'll have a better idea of which is the better deal.

If you care, I got a 901 from puresmoker (wicked fast shipping, 2 days from CA to VA) and an NJOY npro. I like them both and for different reasons. Le us know what you decide. It is overwhelming, isn't it?

I just kicked my habbit with 901s from Puresmoker Two days is usual shipping time from them! I would suggest 2 starter kits, 2 xtra atomizers, and some liquids (fierce strength finally did it for me). The pen style should make it less work because the batteries and cartridges are larger, but I have not tried them. Good luck.

Got my 901 from Steve at puresmoker yesterday.
FWIW I like it much better than the NJOY I got a week earlier. Much better throat hit with the 901... mind you with FIERCE liquid. So I topped up a cart for the NJOY with the fierce and it's just not "hitting" like the 901 does - maybe I got a bum NJOY.
Puresmoker is great, and they just got the fierce in 555 and Camel - dammit - I had to order menthol earlier today because they were out of it in the "regular" flavors.
I've got friends and co-workers wandering why I'm stepping not outside to smoke... down from about 30 Basic 100's a day to about 3, and I'm starting to hate the taste of "real" cigs.

IMHO, puresmoker is a class act with great products at good prices.
