It will last longer and have more power available. But since the zmax is regulated you set the power at your desired setting anyway so you wont fry anything. Stacking batteries can be more dangerous though. Always make sure your battery wrappers are intact and at the same charge. For example, dont use a fresh battery and another that is partially discharged. And always keep the same batteries paired together from new. Hopefully someone can post more precautions. There is an article or something like that around here about stacking batteries.

Personally I wouldnt take a chance of stacking batteries in something thats inches from my face when I press the on button. There are likely people who do that with zero issues but IMO they are taking a big chance that really isnt necessary.

All it takes is one time and someone thinking that could never happen to me to have the makings of an accident.

Nobody? Does using 2 18630 batteries just allow you to max out the power over a certain level, pretty much only good if you want to fry your atty or carto?

It allow you to take advantage of the amp rating to higher levels, who really likes LR at really high voltage - I think it's kind of nasty personally.

Stacked is more accurate across the range apparently, a lot of folks don't like the safety risks of stacking although most devices have a lot a layers of built-in protection - if you use the right spec IMR's you shouldn't have a problem.

I think you meant x2 18350s (instead of 18630s). One 18650 is 65mm long. X2 18350s are 70mm long stacked.

Using x2 18350 CONS:
Will give you 1/4 of the run time that a single 18650 will give you.
Added possible safety concern, though rare as safety and fail safes are engeneered into the product.
You need 4 in rotation, 2 charging and 2 in use.
Need to use extention on MOD to use, making PV longer.

Using x2 18350 PROS:
Able to achieve top end of volt/power device capability which x1 18650 "may" not be able to reach. (Moot point as very very few hardcore vapors operate their PV in this range).

My 2¢

Below is a review that gives some vape time comparisons using different batt configurations at around the 25 min mark if that's all you're researching but the whole vid should be helpful if you're considering the Zmax.

In short unless you're using dual core at voltages high enough most of us wouldn't go then a single 18650 will be fine. Both configs in the Zmax give great battery life with the dual config having a slight edge.

There is a loss when converting from one voltage to another. it is also cheaper to use a boost or buck regulator vs one that does both. Even if it does both, it might not do both at the same efficiency.

Does the battery cutoff change when using one bat or two on this device? If you stack batteries, you should have a voltmeter and use it.
