Help! Vape not working.

All,

I received my first vape setup for Christmas from a friend, its a simple smoktek E-Go compatible battery (EGO Winder) and tank (ARO). It was working fine for me up until this morning, the battery finally died so I screwed in the charger. This charged the battery and indicates it is a full charge by turning green. On top of that the light on the battery goes a solid white telling me it is getting power. This all seems normal, but when I unscrew the charger and screw in my tank I get nothing from the battery the light on the button no longer comes on at all. The only thing I have been able to find online is that it could be off, but I have been pressing the on button 5 times in quick succession like I was doing before and it refuses to turn back on. Does anyone have any tips as to what could possibly be causing this?

Possibly a couple reasons it won't fire, one your coil has gone bad if you have been non stop since Xmas. Second i would to pen the tank and make sure the coil is screwed in all the way. Last see if you can pull the center pin on the tank down a smidge.

Almost forgot since still new, I don't think the battery center pin could be down too much but can try this too.

Sounds like the battery is dead, or at least is not holding enough of a charge to light up the button.

I'd call wherever your friend purchased the battery to see if they can troubleshoot more over the phone (I realize today is a holiday and they are likely closed). They will likely ask that you bring the battery, the charger, and the tank in to them to troubleshoot the issue.

This brings up the point of having a backup for all the parts of your vape setup: batteries, chargers, and juice attachments. E-cigs won't work without any of the three.

Try one more time the "on/off" issue.
With NO top on the battery - and click 6 or 7 times. I have a couple batteries that didn't seem to catch on to 5 clicks, but sometimes needed 6 - then I'd get a couple blinks indicating it was "on".
The other possibility, once it's on is that you've got the connection pin pushed in too far to make contact with the ARO. You can reach in the top of the battery with a toothpick or tiny screwdriver and wiggle the pin "up" higher to make that contact...

Yah I have tried pushing it 20 - 30 times just really fast, I never get any blink on the button. I even tried different voltages on the selector and I get nothing. However, when I plug in the charger the button does light up, so I know it still "can" light up lol.
That pretty much confirms for me you have a dead battery that's not holding a charge. Since the light is on when you attach it to the charger, the light is getting current from the charger. But when used alone, there's not enough power in the battery to allow the light to work.

Is this a common problem? I am new to vaping, but I love it so I have no problem replacing this battery with a better one if that is all it takes.

I'd replace it. If you want to stay with the same style, make sure to get Joye batteries. Most suppliers that sell genuine Joye batteries offer a 90 day warranty.

How did you fix it? Just wait till it dried out?

I didn't.

Was hoping it would dry out and come back to life, but it didn't after a couple weeks, then at that time I happened to read a post here about opening up ego type batteries to fix a button problem so I tried opening it up, but unfortunately popped the wires while trying to do so (you have to do it really slowly and patiently).
