help with a digital pot.

so i have ordered almost all of my parts to do a vv booster using the ptn 04050c chip with a digital pot DS1869-100+. Breaktru posted a wiring diagram but sadly i cant fully understand wiring diagrams. so i have made my microsoft paint style wiring diagrams and i dont know which one is correct. so if anyone can chime in with the answer it would be greatly appreciated. and in the diagrams i didnt put the capacitors or 15k resistor on the booster. ive already done one of those so i know how its wired and its just the d.p. that im unsure of. and once im sure i know i have it right i will probably try to put it on a madvapes interconnect circuit board and post another diagram that looks like an infant drew it to get approval on it. i just dont want to risk frying anything lol

Both of those diagrams are electrically the same.

Balders is correct. They are the same.
Just make sure you look at the pins on the 04050C and don't wire it physically like your drawing. You have the labeling correct but the physical location of Vin and Gnd are reversed.

okay so ive gotten all of the parts for my build except my screen. since it was even smaller than expected i am definetely going have to use madvapes interconnect boards. so below is my new diagram that i am seeking approval on. however in the picture you cant tell that im going to be wiring the bats and atty lug straight to the ptn04050. i dint particularly trust a circuit board to handle the high current so im wiring it up directly to the booster with 18g wire. though im not sure if that will help at all but it makes sense to me. if there are any problems or suggestions please let me know. thank you

Looks all correct.

You can run a jumper on RH and V+ of the DP instead of a home run for each to the main circuit board.

And it is a good idea to run the 18ga hvy current directly to the boost module.

i finally got all of my parts and got my mad assembled, roughly right now and im experiencing a strange issue. when i try to adjust the voltage up or down it completely turns off, i know that the pot is at least doing something because its stuck at like 3.9 volts.i was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue when using the ds 1869-100 digital pot when paired up with the ptn 04050c

and now my fire button is also turning the mod off if there is an atomizer attached, im starting to think i may be activating some sort of cut off because i can fire it without an atty attached all day, and the adjust buttons are still not working. i really dont get why its doing this is would it be an error in the pot or the booster?
