Hey there!

Thought I'd tell you all about my problem and see if anybody has any good ideas to help me out.

Bought a brand new titanium Ataman II, rinsed it out and threw on a build. Dabbed a little juice on the new wick and tried vaping from the chimney to check it out. Well, I guess it didn't dry thoroughly, because I got a hell of a lot of gurgling when I inhaled. No biggie, pull the atty off and blow it out, right?

Nope. The atomizer has become fused with the 510 connection on my Provari. I tried freezing it for 15 minutes, I ran it through an ultrasonic cleaner with a soapy solution, wrapped rubber around it and clamped it with vise grips - no luck at all. That sucker ain't moving a mm.

Here's some pics, if anybody has any ideas I'd love to hear them. I contacted the mod maker about just buying a replacement for the cup that screws into the 510 and he says that can't make just that. And I guess they don't have spare parts...

Thanks if you can!

I've used channel locks on both pieces, vise grips didn't open far enough.
The vise grips I used opened far enough and were able to clamp down and lock around the circumference. I used one on each piece - destroyed my 510 connection, but because I had a spare I didn't care about that one and clamped directly on the metal when I got frustrated.

Thanks though.

Tell me about it. I've had vise grips work before myself. This is ridiculous, and I don't what the hell caused this either. It's not like I tightened down too tight or left it sit overnight, it was only on there about two minutes.

The Ataman has horrible threading, that must have something to do with it. But still...

The Ataman does have horrible threading, but that's ridiculous. If vise grips won't get it off I don't know what to suggest.

Have you tried heat? Torching might change the finish. I would try boiling first though it may not be hot enough? Can't hurt anything though.
Apparently Roxy, this is a problem that is not unknown to Provape, it has something to do with the 510 connector and the "beauty ring" having different threading. I'm sending it to them because they have experience in fixing this exact problem.
