I just got an ego twist 1000mah battery yesterday, and have been having issues with getting burnt tastes, even when it is dialed down at times. I have two vivi nova tanks and am using the 2.8ohm heads. I also have some tabac bcc bottom feeders with resistance varying from 1.8-2.4. All these variations have been giving me that nasty burnt hit every so often. I have dialed down all the way to 3.2 volts and still occasionally get it. I'm upgrading from a standard ego-t 900 mah and did not experience this so often with it, and only when using the 1.8ohm atomizers. I'm not having any fun with my twist! Any advice? Could there be something wrong with the twist? Thanks!

You should buy a simple multimeter to check the actual voltage output of the battery and the actual resistance of the coil. Also the rubber caps on the vivi coils can get pressed down and strangle the wick a little. Also the actual wire in the coil can get pulled to one side and cause hotspotting against the inside of t he coil head. My guess is the rubber cap. You should pull it up a little and not tighten the vivi nova top all the way down and then test it again.

Are you pressing down particularly long on the button before you draw? 3.3v is a little low. 4.3v seems to be a good middle ground for me. At least for VG liquid. When I got my vivi nova and ego spinner and tested different ways to draw etc and I got a burnt taste when I dialed up to 4.8v and pressed the button down for a long time while taking the biggest draw I could. Lower volts, 3.3v etc produced very little vapor for me. I can imagine burning if I dialed low and pressed the button down a long time to try and get more vapor over a longer time. I am not having any burnt taste, though, with my ego spinner and vivi nova tanks. I get a very clean taste.

Using boba's bounty VG
Ego spinner 1300mah at 4.3v
Vivi nova tank with the 2.4 head.

Very clean taste for me and no burning.

Maybe your draw method is wrong? Too little ohm and too little volt? The lowest heads that come with the Vivi are 1.8ohm.

It is a joyetech for sure. I will try pulling up on the rubber caps though, that makes sense. It is not just happening with the vivi tank though, but also with the tabac bottom coils (though not as much). I'll watch my draw, too. I don't have a meter, but I know the shop I bought it from does. I also know they would swap it out if it is a problem with the twist. I just don't want to fry all my tanks in the meantime. Thanks everyone for the help!
