Help with charger

one of the many chargers i have is caked on with dry juice.
figured out that the film on the contacts was so thick that i had to use a dremel with a wire brush to clean the positive. it now makes a connection and charges BUT. how can i take it apart to get the threads clean?
it is a TW 510 charger.

i would just rip the thing apart but would like to preserve it to look like i didn't take a chain saw to it.

i did try that but cant get to the threads.
remember, i actually had to end up using a metal wire brush on a dremel, to remove the build up on the positive terminal just to get it cleaned.
i tend to clean everything with a qtip and alcohol but this one is in need of less tlc and more brute force.

Well anytime you take electrical devices apart, the risk of shorting wiring, solder points, ect could potentially create a fire hazard in the end. Just offering credible advice based on my limited knowledge obtained from practical electrical component experience. I would think your dremel accessories would have the wire disc as mine does...if that didnt work; i would possibly considering trying to use "neverdull" before buying new.. Neverdull comes in a can, has a solvent included in the fiber inside of the can (that fiber would contact the threads and not damage them). I used it to clean my brass while in the army..lol

it's currently not working very well if at all. i can't get a battery to get a good charge on it because of all the build up. me, being me, i have to fix it. i just didn't want to cut/break it though.
i don't even seem to be able to get a razor blade between the two joined parts.
