Bought these from madvapes...

The description says it holds about 50 drips, but after 50 it looks like only about half of the fiber inside was soaked with liquid... but I noticed the liquid is dripping out the bottom where the battery connector is..?? Why would it do this and is it normal?? I stopped filling and attached it.

Anyone with experience with these things??

Thanks!

I have the regular dual coil cartos, but have experienced a similar thing. From what I've seen on various youtube vids as well as here on the forums, you have to fill a bit and let it soak in, then fill a little more, and let it soak in. I roll it in the palm of my hand to distribute the liquid a bit. The first time you fill a fresh cart you see more dripping out the bottom than when you're just topping off.

Also depends on what liquid you're using. I find the more VG it contains, the longer it takes to wick up in the batting.

There are a few cartos out there that will leak from 'go' and I consider them junk if they do.

However, I've bought over 30 Smoketech cartos and have not had a single one truly 'leak', ever.

The word 'leak' can mean two different things with cartos:

It can 'leak' from the seal where the plastic seals against the connector.
Or it can leak from juice going down through the center hole.

If it leaks from around the seal, I call that junk and immediately toss it.
If it leaks from going down through the center, that's usually just a filling mis-fire.

You may either be using too much, or filling to quick, or not hitting the right area, but I would guess from it being a Smoketech carto it's a filling issue.

At that point, it's really just getting the hang of filling it correctly and may take several tries trying different fill techniques.

Myself, I use syringes to fill my dual coil cartos, it is incredibly simple, effective, and I almost never get leaking down through the center hole, but it does happen occasionally.
