Hi all, my names Dillon and I've been vaping and looking around the forums for about a year now. I have encountered my first real problem. I own an evic, I've had it for about 4 months now and it's been working fine but tonight I took off the end cap of it for some reason and I was looking at the battery. Well I think I may have put it back in backwards. My evic is now unresponsive. I have it plugged in and I flipped it back the way the battery should go in and still nothing. Do you guys think I short circuited the battery? Or even the evic? i dont know what to do. I'm debating on buying a new panasonic NCR18650B from amazon but I'm wondering if I could maybe get a replacement from a local battery store? Thanks guys

Remove head from battery tube leaving tank attached.
Double check Battery orientation.

Press the eVic power button and hold for a few seconds.

Now press it several times. - this is to bleed of any stored energy.

Lay it aside for a few minutes.

When you re-attach to the tube, wait a minute before trying to activate.

eVic may just be stuck in protected mode. This may allow it to reboot.

Good luck.

HI
I take off my end cap to remove my battery on a regular basis without problems. I'm sure it hasn't short circuited the head. Did you happen to pop out the white cap in the top portion of the tube? If you place the cap backwards it leaves a gap because it's made to fit one way. This stops your battery from making a connection.

I've had this before your evic is doing this to protect itself. Unscrew your head from the base, plug that in alone to MVR , if no response then attach battery with the battery right side up attempt to turn it on ( 5 clicks. ) also try holding your fire button remove the battery clean it ( alittle rubbing alc) DRY thoroughly and put it in and attempt to start. If not contact Joyetech. Or take it to a local knowledgeable Vape shop.

Sorry if someone already mentioned this. Here's something I found;
1 Disconnect the power supply of eVic, press the enter button, insert the USB interface and connect with the computer, keep pressing the enter button for 2 seconds.
2. If it successed to wake up the eVic,the computer will display the USB equipment icon
3. Then you can use MVR to upgrade the eVic again.
