Hey everyone! While I am a Vet vapor, there is one thing I can't figure out. What if I don't want my juice to steep? Or want it to steep at a drastically reduced pace? There are a couple juices I have the chance completely after steeping, going from a great juice, to a juice that I don't like. Give you an example....Malty! My bottle from months ago is UNvapable, not so much from the flavor, more because it now wont work in any cartos at all without getting these weird malted burning taste. Now I have NEW bottles of malty that I just got, and I want to keep that juice as fresh and krisp as possible for as long as possible. Part of the issue may be that it appears to get even thicker over time, and it's already a thick juice. So the bottom line, is where and how should I store my juice in order to drastically slow down the steeping process?

If your juice is going south quickly, then you might be better off to order in small quantities. Some vapers refrigerate juice to slow steeping. You save postage by ordering in large quantities, but end up with juices that change taste. Most juices get better with age, but others go down with time. Maybe someone here can help you with suggestions on flavors and shelf life. Some suppliers web sites indicate numbers like 10 thousand bottles in stock for some juices and others in low quantities, so obviously there's a correlation between those that last and those that don't.

If the malty seems to be mostly an issue of thickness rather than flavor, you might try diluting it with distilled water or my personal favorite, vanilla vodka (standard disclaimer, try this st your own risk). Also, on the opposite of steeping thing, I have had a few juices that went from good to unvapable and then back again. So more time might do it to. For actually slowing it down, it seems to be somewhat a function of air contact as well as light and heat for me. I have found that completely full bottles don't steep as fast as lower amounts in bigger bottles, or bottles that are constantly being reopened. So you might decant your juice into smaller bottles and seal them up as best you can. Then store them in a cool dark place. This way you aren't constantly exposing them to air. This may also be a factor of the humectant properties of vg. Alternatively, if anyone else you know who lives close by also vapes, you might look at cooping with each other. This way you can split the large volume bottles.

Sent from my G2...so please excuse the spelling errors, correct gets the best of me.
