Hopefully there is a simple solution to the issue I am having.

I just got this last night. Put it together, filled it up and used it.

The flavor tastes intensely concentrated. When it hits my tongue, I feel like I might actually be wizzing the juice. (Filled with TVC Pear Brandy. 50/50, 12mg) I get tingles on my tongue and everything. No burned

The draw feels strange. I have only used a basic top-wicking plastic clearomizers before. The best word to describe it: tight. I have to really work to get it.

The throat hit is like a brick. Really makes me almost feel sick.

And lame vapor. Very, very little. Disappointing.

I'm using it on a standard eGo battery and will not be getting a VV for a few weeks, so I can't test that yet.

Suggestions?

Ok, I think I figured it out. Just don't know how to fix it.

If I cover a few of the little air hole cutouts on the bottom ring, it's MUCH better. There's a little plastic ring between my beauty ring and the base too which is not getting flush with the base (I can see underneath it.) It's screwed as tightly as I can make it.

Consequences for removing the clear plastic ring? Covering the air holes?

Sorry you're having trouble with something you were probably excited to try! Try Unscrewing the base from the tank (hold it with mouth piece down so you won't loose all your juice). Check to make sure the coil is screwed in tight. They tend to come loose when shipped or when you unscrew to fill. Checking to make sure the coil is tight every time you fill is a good habit to get into with the replaceable coils. If it's tight, re-attach base to tank. Screw back onto your battery. Try vaping again. If you're still not getting vapor, try loosening just a tad on battery. If I over tighten, it chokes off air flow. I also don't over tighten the base to the tank. Let us know if this helps! I know there is a learning curve and certain amount of fiddling and I hope you find it well worth it. When you get it working, I think you'll love it :)

It's actually working fine if I cover the air holes now. I just kinda have to wrap my finger around it when I hold down the button. I still get some gurgles and it's very loud from air passing through.

And no pic, because I immediately lost the damn thing when I took it off.
It was just a very small, soft, plastic o-ring/gasket sitting where the base connects to the beauty ring.

I guess I just don't really like the device as much as I thought I would based on everyone's recommendation. Sure, it's nice to hold more liquid. But it's heavy, cold and seems like a lot of work. CE4 and CE5 clearos seem to be giving me tons of nice, warm vapor. Flavor isn't as pronounced though.

is this the o-ring on the head the one you're missing?

or is it the one above the base?

notice the clear grommet on the left sticks out a bit. and the white one on the right is somewhat recessed in the head...

when this happens, the 3 holes used to allow air in get choked. this happens simply by tightening the protanks down on the 510 connection a little too much as it squeezes that grommet, deforms it and makes it squish outward filling up the cavity it sits in. sometimes just screwing the head onto the base until you can feel it touch keeps from squishing this grommet when the protank is tightened onto your mod. then air flows pretty good. could also explain why when you put pressure on one side of the tank, you get good air flow. you may be relieving the "squish" pressure on that grommet.

doh... found it. better explanation here... http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/clearomizers/482938-kanger-protank-airflow-fix.html

this should illustrate it pretty good...

this o-ring on the head, under the wick is unnecessary...

you may or may not need the cup style o-ring on the bottom of the "chimney pipe" in this picture depending on your coil and wick...

with stock coils and wicks, it's needed.

hope this helps a little. let us know what you're missing and this will make a little more sense. at least to me. i'm lost without that little bit of info, personally.

Whoa, nice. Never thought about that little grommet blocking air. Thanks!
