It might be their "Purity Base" giving it the pink color. My other Halo juice is Tribeca and it is a little bit amber, so hard to draw any conclusion.

I know Halo Menthol Ice has a reddish color or tint to the mix so I am not sure if there is something else I am leaving out or what, My final mix is Clear and the vape taste is close but not yet there. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks

I am 99% sure the secret ingredient you are needing is Ethyl Vanillin, it turns pink/reddish after steeping depending on the concentration level, get the powder and mix around 10% then apply to your mix according to taste. I am currently vaping Halo Menthol Ice and believe this is what contributes to the 'smoothness' of it. Also, compared to other Menthol blends I have tried this one has a different vapor production, my impression is more VG but the liquid is not thick so possibly extra VG but thinned out with Distilled Water. Hope this might get you a bit closer in your DIY blend.

I guess I am jacking this thread in my own quest to knock off Halo's Menthol Ice. I recently discovered that Vanillin (as well as the synthetic Ethyl Vanillin) turns a pink / reddish color with steeping. Does anyone have any info on Vanillin vs. Ethyl Vanillin as far as flavor differences and post steeping coloring differences? Probably gonna have to order some Vanillin crystals as well, the recipe could potentially require both...

Tried the EV @ 1% and it was pretty nasty , so either they use way way less (which wont give the same color) or else probably it's regular Vanillin.

When I used to vape this and I could definitely taste and smell vanilla. I tried to make a clone of this but got tired of anything menthol.
