Help with mini Protank II

One of my tanks sometimes when I go to vape on it will not work. I push the button on my battery and I get no sound of the coil burning nor can I draw any vapor out of it. I have tried it on different batteries and I get the same results. This just happens periodically. I can't figure out what the problem is. If someone knows the answer please let me know. Thanks.

Oh and btw if anyone (like a mod) knows why I can't post on the new member forum let me know that too.

check for ohm using multi-meter or ohm meter.. if you get no ohm.. the coil maybe broken... if too much ohm.. shorted out. also check the connection to the battery and the post are clean.

I have neither a multimeter or ohm meter. I burned my multimeter up checking a fridge. I did check the connection to the battery and made sure it was clean. I just cleaned it again. I dont see it would make sense that it would work most the time if the ohms are off and then sometimes not. But then again, I don't really understand electrical things, other than basic checking of volts etc.

welp.. no other way to check whats wrong with it.. other replacing the coil assembly with a different one.

Ugh ok. I am broke until I get paid next week. It's probably cheapest just to go get another coil for now.

I had a lot of problems with one of mine. It seem the head keep coming lose on the base. I tried swaping heads it's always doing it, so I gave up on it and it sits with the many other RIP stuff.

I Started buying the T3S units, much better units.

LOL I figured it out. Your right the head came loose from the base. Weird. Maybe I will buy a T3S. I love the mini PT don't get me wrong, but I love trying new things.

Your head might not be making contact with your battery. Try pulling the pin a little bit and see if that helps. There are some good videos on youtube with how to do this.

Yeah when they come loose it can be a pain. AS to the problem posting in the new member forum. They cut you off from making new threads on that section after a while. I didn't know what had happened when they did it to me either.

I have and use a variety of PT2's both mini and full sized. One thing I personally do as does my wife, we back the base off just a little and make sure the atomizer head is snug every time we fill the tanks. I have chased problems (leaking, not firing etc.) for an hour only to realize the atomizer head itself had come loose. Now with that being said I have also figured out that over tightening the head can twist the very bottom piece in the grommet (positive contact) which can break the coil legs or twist them together.
