Not sure if im posting this right but anyways i have 1000ml's of 6mg nicotine in 100% vg base and a 4oz bottle of 36mg nic in vg base. the problem i have is after making a bottle of juice its not at my much loved 6 mg strength. how much of the 36mg would i need to mix with my 6mg nic to bring it up just enough so that after making a bottle of juice its closer to a 6mg strength? Im not to worried about it being exactly at 6mg as long as its close (+-2mg) thanks! Any info would be helpfull and im sure this is just basic math but lets just say school wasnt my finest hour

for 36 to go to 6 you mix 1 part 36 with 5 parts of VG/flavor (0 nic)

I think he's trying to go the other way with it Bunnykiller. How much 36 needs to be added to a big bottle of 6 to end up with 12 so that when mixed with flavorings it ends up back at 6. Pretty early in the morning for that sentence, :blink: If my math is correct mixing a 1000ml bottle of 6mg with a 4 oz bottle of 36mg would leave you with 1118 ml of 10.9mg, assuming they're both full bottles to start.

You could use the trusty e-juice calculator :)

Ok, don't take my word for it, but just for fun;

(36 mg/ml + (6mg/ml * y )) / (y + 1) = 12 mg/ml
Where y is the number of unit measures of 6 mg/ml you need to add to 36 mg/ml to obtain a 12mg/ml mixture.
Expand and solve: y = 4. So for every 1 part of 36mg/ml, add 4 parts of 6mg/ml to make the solution 12mg/ml.

:laugh: maths, my old enemy. It's been so long.

Seriously, check with someone else first.

Buy a reagent kit from a reputable lab. About 9 to 20 dollars usd.
How do you know the nic concentration on the 6mg/liter? Lowest concentrate at lab is 36mg/liter. So someone diluted it.
Since nic is the most expensive component in juice, don't trust secondary 'handlers'. Through the years I've tested juice, runs about 10% short. Good reason to mix your own.
I buy supplies at Wizard Labs..

10% difference? Is it important when you DIY? You mix to your taste, not to results of some possible test.
I have 1L 100 mg nicotine. Right now I dilute it to 8 mg and I like it. It is not important to me if strictly speaking it may be just 7.2 mg – the important thing is that I like my strength.
One more thing: nicotine is the most expensive part of only unflavored juice, flavors are much more expensive than nicotine.

I would not use test kits when I buy nicotine from reputable supplyer. Why should I waste my time and money?
