I received my supplies from Wizard Labs about a week ago. All my flavors are from TFA.

I tried a quick mix of TFA Flue Cured flavoring, and totally botched it or just didn't like it.

My second try has gone better. I mixed up my base, 16mg/ml 70/30% PG/VG. I started with 3% of the TFA Black Honey Tobacco flavoring. Could hardly taste a thing. I really want this to taste like it smells. Adding 1% flavoring at a time, I arrived at 7% total before I could really taste the honey part.

I vaped it a little, and realized that after a short period of time, all I could taste was the a dry, undescribable flavor or coating in the back of my throat. Just for comparison, I mixed an identical batch of base with no flavoring of any kind. After vaping it for a few minutes, I perceive the same throatiness as the flavored batch.

I don't get this sensation with the juice I'm using from my local shop.

I let it steep a little, added 2% EMaltol for some extra sweetness. After 24 hours, it gained a slight pink tint to it. Tried again, still not satisfied.

Did more research on the forums, and decided to try adding Apple Cider Vinegar at 1.4%. This cleared the pink tint, and did improve the flavor, but still have that odd taste. Can't taste any vinegar though, so that's good.

I tried adding 1.5% Koolada for a little coolness. This helped also, but still not something I can vape for long.

After a full week of adjustments and steeping, it's still not what I'm looking for. I just added 5% 0f the TFA Smooth, and I can tell a difference, but still no go on long term vaping. I still get that unpleasant throat sensation.

As you can see, everything I did was an improvement, but I'm not where I want to be. Anyone have any suggestions and what I should try next?

I like most of the TFA tobacco flavors at about 4%.

Use the base straight or add other ingredients to it. All flavors are TFA PG based flavors.

4% Asian Ry4 OR English Tobacco OR Virginia Firecured OR Marlboro
5% ethyl malto
5% caramel
1% Tobacco Absolute

Steep for 10 days and then vape straight or add to it.

3 ml of Asian Ry4 + 2 drops Vanilla Cupcake
3 ml English Tpbacco + 2 drops English Toffee
3 ml Virginia Firecured + 2 drops hazelnut
3 ml Marlboro + 4 drops black walnut

It is unfortunate that I haven't had a chance to try the Black Honey tobacco.

The Flue cure might be more of an additive so don't go heavy on that [just a suggestion] maybe do 1%.

I tried Smooth Tobacco at 3%, added things like juicy peach, coconut, pomegranite. Didn't have much oomph so I added 3 drops of Mtype [TFA] and I like it better now.

Random thoughts on tobaccos:)

Thanks for the feedback. I'll have to give your base a try there. Need to get a couple missing flavors tho.

I'm going try my recipe again, and just let it steep a little more. I actually vaped most of the sample I made on short sittings over the last few days. Not an all day vape yet yet, but made for a good change from the only other juice I have right now.
