Help with next move!

I am new to vaping (although i did try it in 07 when it started, but got to be to much of a pain.). Started up again 3 weeks ago, and i have completely switched off of cancer sticks aka analogs!

My current setup is a iTaste vv v3 with Kanger Aerotank v1. I also have a backup kanger aerotank mini.

My question is. What is my next move to get huge taste from vapor?

Option 1

It sounds like most on here would suggest a rebuild able drip tank. Any suggestion on which one for flavor? I don't think I want to go cloud chasing. Also, i would like to start with the same battery I have. So, i will have to stay above 1.5 Uhms. (as far as i can tell).

Option 2

Should i just start trying to rebuild the Kanger coils? Will that give me better flavor?

Option 3

Start to saving my pennies for a mod. If so, which one? I personally would not like messing with separate batteries. Plus, I think I would go with a regulated one. Nice easy noob friendly mod.

Option 4

What do you suggest i do? Maybe there is something i have over looked?

I've been using an Aerotank on my MVP v2.0 since I got it and I love the rebuilds.

Just to get you started, try rebuilding your kanger heads. I use kanger single coil heads with two of the silicone 'caps' stacked on top to prevent leaks from the Aerotank taking dual coil atomizers, which are taller.

I liked the dual coil stock kanger heads, for a bit. Then I tried rebuilding a dual coil as my first rebuild, no good.

Found out that with the caps stacked you can use SC heads, so I pulled out my old kanger heads and gave myself an 11/10 wrap with 30g kanthal, coils touching, with cotton wick comes to 2-2.2ohm. and BOY OH BOY. It's definitely not a lung inhale build becuase of the limited airflow but mouth to lung is flavor city.

It takes some practice and some getting used to as the taste and vape is waaayy different, but the ONLY reason I would use stock kanger heads is out of necessity or wanting an unburnable coil as they use the ecowool or silica for wicks(again only for night where i wouldnt pay attention to how much i was hitting my ecig)

Also, I just switched from 70pg/30vg 18mg to 30pg/70vg 18mg juice, didn't change my coil or anything just dumped in the new juice and no wicking issues to speak of.

That's where I learned to wrap coils, but I use 11/10 and 30g kanthal instead. Just my preference!

If you would like to try your had at a rebuildable atomizer for flavor, I highly recommend a Magma dripping atty. Currently, it is my favorite dripper with regard to flavor, as it is with many here.

At some point, you may wish to step up to a high wattage device. Perhaps, a 30 watt device.

Regardless of what you decide, have a productive and enjoyable vaping journey.

Go for option 1 and buy a kayfun lite plus v2 (or a good clone)
Rebuilding heads waiting for the kayfun to arrive sounds like a good option too!

Sidenote: I REALLY want a KayFun and would totally have that on my MVP instead, but till then, I'm stuck with rebuilding Kanger heads. (Which is not bad at all!)

Thanks all for the replies. The local B&M has a Kayfun v3.1 clone for $30.00. might have to check it out. How bad do they leak? Do you think i could carry all day? It is going to look weird on the vv v3.

RDAs and RTAs do give a superior flavor, but they also have a learning curve attached. They do take some manual work rebuilding and coils, but for something like a Kayfun (RTA) you can build a coil, fill it up and then it acts just as a typical tank. When you start to notice the flavor lacking, it's time to change the wick and/or coil.

This is certainly an option, although, as a new builder it may be a more challenging one since the coils don't give you a lot of room to work with when compared to an RDA or RTA.

If you are thinking that you would like to stay with a regulated mod, there are a lot of options. You are already familiar with the itaste so an MVP may be a good upgrade, although it won't give you much in the way of a power boost, but it will boost your battery life by more than triple what you have now. Another option would be a DNA20 or DNA30 device. These would certainly give you a power boost, and most mods that use these chips can be charged without ever removing the battery via usb.

In the end it's all about personal preference and what you want out of your vaping experience. I would try to visit a local vape shop or two in your area and see what they have to offer. You may even be able to try some of the equipment before purchasing it which always helps.

This is the hardest part for us noobies. everything is about personal preference, but if you have never tried something. You really don't know if you will prefer it. This is why i am hoping to gleam insite from the veterans on this site. My wife is going to kill me if i start dumping more money than my smoking habit into vaping.

I understand where you're coming from, but my personal preference may vary from yours. That's why I suggested visiting a local shop. . So you can you can see and feel the tangible item. . Maybe even try it out. If you look at the rest of my post I did make some recommendations. The DNA 20 or DNA 30 devices will all operate about the same as they have the same chip, but they come in various form factors which is personal preference.

I could tell you to goout and get a box mod because that's what I like. .. only to find out that you want something in a tube mod because you like the feel of that better. Unfortunately a lot of it is personal preference. Watch some reputable reviewers on YouTube such as pbusardo or grimmgreen. There you may get a more accurate portrayal of various devices rather than me just telling you what I like.

With the reviews you can see the device up close and see the measurements and how it fits in the hand. .. and more importantly see its highlights and where it may fall short of some others...

all good points. I recommend watching reviews on youtube. Todd or PBusardo... Igetcha69, there's a lot to see.
Can't really go wrong with a Kayfun. Change the wick once a month and that's it.

I like my Kayfuns, but I may like my Mini Nautilus with BVC coils a bit better. The vape is quite good and I like the convenience. It's size goes well with the ItasteIII style too. I'm actually surprised no one else has mentioned it.

There is a somewhat limited amount of regulated devices that can be charged via USB, especially at more modest price points. The MVP is probably the most popular.

A Rebuildable Dripper and a Rebuildable Tank are 2 different beasts. I don't know of many that would be appropriate for your current battery as a dripper can't be layed on it's side without often creating a mess. The RBA tanks that are small in diameter may be top heavy....but do work as some models won't leak when put on their side.

I'd pick up a mini nauti and wait for the fall offerings, while having fun experimenting with various liquid flavors and brands. New mod goodies always come out before Xmas.

All great info. I will admit I was leaning towards a RBA drip tank instead of a Kayfun. From what I have read on these forms. It seems you get better flavor from them. You make a great point about not being able to set it on the side. Never thought about that.

I was kind of looking at the DNA 30s, but they are just not in the budget right now. $70.00 plus whatever a battery costs. Is just to much right now. $30-$40 for a new RBA. Might be doable.

I have gone to a B&M shop to get what I have now, and so far the info has been vague from the people working. For example, I was debating get between the Kanger Mini, and a Nautilus. I asked which would be better for taste. All I got is either one. Every thing I have read here. Is I should have got the Nautilus.

Checked out the Squape. Can't do that one. It looks nice, but the plastic tank killed it. The local shop got 5 pawns in. Got the gambit, and will be going back for more. Oil based juice would kill the plastic. Great suggestion! I would have been all over it if it wasn't for the tank.
