I've noticed that my 510 PCC has only been charging a battery or two before it dies.

I was wondering if I can swap out the battery pack in it with a cell phone battery, or if there is a source for replacement bat packs like the orriginal?

Anyone try something like this? For that matter, anyone have a better idea?

Thanks

Karr,
Cheap cell phone batteries can be found on ebay 5 to 10 bucks.
I have a couple of PCC, might open one and try and find compatible replacement.
Hey, if you could order a battery from China, wait 3 weeks, swap it out in under an hour and save 6 or 7 bucks over a new PCC, that's worth it, right?

would be to me :)

Rocket,
I'll try to open one today.

I just noticed your "better idea" comment.

Strip the pcc, build a new one with an 18650.
PCC has most every thing you need.
Make an oval or double barrel case.
18650 on one side, big deep hole for e-cig battery (reg or mega).

Well the two important questions are going to be:

What is the voltage of the stock battery pack, and what is the mAh of it.
(instructions state that the batt is 1200mAh, meter says bat is 5v)

I have a couple of cell bats, and they are rated at 3.7V @ 810mAh

I have a feeling that won't be enough of either voltage or amperage.
Might be a different story with the 18650, but I'd like one that will fit into the stock case without modification.
