I'm not new to vaping I'm just new to rda's I've researched a lot about them and i now have a steamboat rda (tugboat v2 clone) on the way was just wondering if it was possible to do a sleeper build on it if you don't know what that is rip trippers had a vid and it's a build where only one strand of kanthal creates 2 coils that would fire at the exact same rate.

I would want to just for the vapor production I heard it's a good one for clouds
Let me suggest you search this forum for the sleeper coil builds; it is the general consensus they are no better or worse for vapor than dual independent coils. This has been my experience as well. Given you are new to coil building, I would suggest you start out with normal duals and proceed to sleepers, if you can find a reason to do so, once you have gained some experience. Trust me when I tell you there's a learning curve involved in coil building. Please yourself, of course. but this is my advice.

Not off the bat, I'm on my tablet and the mobile site doesn't do links as far as I know. Tomorrow if I remember to come back and look, or somebody else will.
Alright thanks any way how would I figure out how many wraps / what gauge of kanthal would come out to a .3-.5 ohm coil right now I only have 22g and 24g

As a beginner to coil building, keep things as simple as possible innitially. K.I.S.S. (keep it simple, stupid).

You can get as much vapor with a simple coil as any exotic build. Other important factors come into play: air flow, wire density, wicking, heat flux, etc. Keep it simple and then try the exotic builds if you'd like.

Just to chime in, 2.25 ID, 5 wraps, 26 gauge Kanthal just about always nets me ~0.6 ohms per coil. I would venture a guess that 24 gauge at that ID and wrap would get you to your desired range.
