I wasn't paying attention and popped in a 18650 battery in upside down into my Svapiamo Sx350 (the older chip I believe). Within a few seconds I was smelling smoke and the contacts were glowing red. Of course I yanked out a very hot battery as quickly as I could. My bad and my stupidity but now I am looking for advice.
The unit no longer fires up nor does the screen light up. However if I plug it into the USB with a battery properly inserted the charging light does glow red as if the battery is charging. I know nothing about these chips. Is it most likely a blown chip or wiring or contacts? I thought the SX chip had protection against reverse polarity so I am hoping it is not replacing the whole chip? But I am clueless on these things. I attached a coupe of pics of the contacts after my mistake. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
