    Greetings,

Assuming that whatever "SS" wire you picked up is the exact type of "SS" that your mod supports (there are a bunch of different SS grades) TC vaping is very easy, however there are a few things to remember when starting out:
    • spaced coils will be more reliable than contact coils. You can make contact coils work, however they may need to be conditioned first. (light pulsing until the coil glows evenly from the inside out)
    • TC works on the change in resistance. As such a 0.5 ohm coil's resistance will change 5x more than a 0.1 ohm coil. Give your mod enough resistance to regulate with.
    • Good solid electrical connections of the wire, RBA and 510 are essential for TC vaping.
    • Many mods require that the "baseline" room temperature resistance of the coil be set and locked in before TC will operate correctly.
    • Lastly: SS is one of the worse wire types to use TC with. The "TCR" (which denotes how much the resistance will change with temperature) is on the low end of TCR. Since it is so low it is recommended that coils are >=0.5 ohms to give your mod a chance to regulate it.
In TC mode the "power" setting controls how much power the mod can use to "ramp up to" the temperature set point and in some cases what to 'modulate' to control the temperature. Vapor production and temperature is controlled by the temperature setting.

Outside of the above, TC vaping is like VW vaping except with an extra setting to fiddle with.

Just to add, wire types add to some confusion. 304, 316, 317, 430 etc. Each has a slight variation with their tcr value.

But a starting point if you are interested in starting with tc. Depending on what atty you are using. Build a coil that you like with that write, use stream engine to figure one out if you never used 24. wrapped it spaced.
Lock your resistance, set temp to 410F with power of 40-50 and adjust from there.

If it hits temp limit with low vapor or flavor, increase your temp limit. If it doesn't hit your temp limit and slow ramp up, increase your power.

Personally, i like keeping in the 400 to 450 range, others go to 500. But the wire plays a part to. One of my mods has the ss304 setting, but i only use 316. I have to drop my temp a little so it still works right.
