What tank do you have?

I don't know if you're aware, but SS coils can be used in both Power Mode and Temperature Control mode unlike all other wires which must be used in their specific mode (ie - Kanthal, Nichrome = Power Mode only - Nickel, Titanium = TC Mode only).

For TC mode, you'll want to build a coil with a fairly low resistance, like 0.2 Ohms or so (ie - 2x0,4 Ohm dual coils or 1x0,2 Ohm single).

You can use Steamengine to build virtual coils to see their characteristics (resistance, diameter, number of wraps, wire gauge and type, heat flux etc) before you actually build them.

For 24AWG SS316 wire (316, 316L, 317, 420?), a single 4-wrap, 2.5mm coil, 0,2 Ohm coil will provide 176 mW/mm² of heat flux @ 15W and should work in Temperature Mode as well.

I have a kbox200 and recently got some ss 24g wire. I have no idea how to use temp control...lol! I know how to get to the setting but have no idea about what temp to use or how to figure it out. If anyone can help thats be awesome!

The Brain Looks at Pinky:
It's the same thing as with Variable Wattage and Voltage, Pinky; start at lower settings and gradually step up to the sweet spot.

Nope. With SS you can build up to 1 or 1.5 ohm (depending on mod). TC will work nicely. But if you wish you sure can go lower.
