Help with The Grip by Brad!!

Hello everyone,

I bought the grip
In the classies about a week back and I can't for the life of me get my rbas to screw on far enough to make contact- I've only been able to use disposable atties and that makes me a sad panda.
The problem is this rounded catch cup. All my atties are 14 mm or wider diameter, and the cup, er, catches them before I can screw them in far enough. Does anyone know what these are made of? Can they be sanded down/ flattened with a mallet or something?

What about a 510 extender? They sell shorties that should get you just above the cup. Maybe not the look you were going for though.

I had a 510 to 510... It looks obnoxious I'm gonna have to hammer this stuff down...
