Hello all,
I recently bought a Vision Spinner 2 it came with what looked like good packaging and with the scratch and security code panel et all.

I became suspicious of it when I entered the security code and got this response ...
"The code has been verified in 2014-08-01 21:44:45. This is 2193 times check."

I thought that strange, this is the response from my second check, surely it should only be 2?

Further trawling the net I found a fake original comparison photo and the one I have looks more like the fake, the printing for volt selection is higher up the body than the original.

Mine also had a dot for the red line which is now almost gone.

So I thought, rather than go off with my concerns I'd check with the manufacturer. I sent the following to visionecig....

"Hello,
I'm hoping you are able to help.

I have recently received a Vision Spinner 2 VV, the design and feel is very very nice, but I think I may have received a fake.

I have received packaging with the Authenticity sticker attached. I have scratched it and exposed the following security code V## ### ### ###.

I have gone to your web site and entered the security code, I get the following reply.

"The code has been verified in 2014-08-01 21:44:45. This is 2193 times check."

I have only checked this code on 2 occasions. Is this correct or do you think the security stickers are fake but with real security codes?

Many Thanks
"

The reply from visionegig....
"copies , ask the vendor refund you money ."

I'm not entirely sure it's giving me the time a 1650mAh battery should, but without an other I can't compare. That's to be resolved soon enough.

I informed the supplier and he's adamant that it's not a fake, he even told me to come here and ask, I thought as I'm a member I should.

What do you think?

I got it from, I know I know, ebay. BUT this same vendor has supplied me with Kanger product and it seems to check out, but I have asked Kanger if their security codes are 'secure.' Does make me question the authenticity of everything he's supplied, not a lot just a couple of ProTank mini's and a couple of ego-c twists.

The vendor said this ....
They are not fake, compare the pics on visionecig to your item. Or Youtube it.. Or open up a thread on the e-cig foums.
Security codes... well, its China.
I had the same question about products after buying direct from KangerTech

I think the geniune one's are 1600 mah, not 1650, but I could be wrong.

Someone here posted these pics about fakes, I kept them because I bought a Spinner II. The stainless ones should have black writing, not white. Not sure about other colors.

If vision says it's a fake and contact vendor for refund no amount of replacing blame from the vendor would make me believe otherwise. Vision knows visions products
Just shows me the vendor is shady and won't admit he's selling fakes
I'm drawing the same conclusion Rancor.

Hi Susan,
Yes they did and they, with close inspection look the same as my existing one. I wasn't wanting to pass judgement on the seller as he could have bought them in good faith and received fakes, but the comments he responded with don't wash well with me. I've been trading on ebay for many years and things happen but I sellect my suppliers with some care and I think I picked the wrong one this time.

I feel like "well it's China" Is a cop-out answer. I would ask for a refund and if time isn't up and the supplier is resistant, file a PayPal dispute.

The disputes where put in on all items as this has made me question the other items too. Disputes are always best raised as they can always be dropped later when things come good.

That's the image I've had a look at, and the printing on mine appears more like the fake than the original. I have a black so it difficult to confirm any other oddities.
1650mAh is correct from the Vision web site. Also the images on there the printing is in a different location.

I was involved with mass production in a previous life and they don't make changes like these easily or cheaply.

As I said I looked at that very same image but I've got a problem with even that. Note what it says about the turning on and off yet from the very same site that has that image has the instructions for the Vision Spinner 2 ...
Turn on/off the battery

• The battery is turned on/off by pressing the button five times in two seconds
• When the battery is off, the button flashes three times in mixed color to indicate that battery is activated after pressing the button five times in two seconds
• When the battery is on, the button flashes three times in mixed color to indicate that battery is off after pressing the button five times in two seconds
