ok my wife wants a small vv/vw mod with rms and is small that will fit a 18490. she tried a mech that is around 3.75 inches and likes that size cause of her small hands. is there anything out there like that. i would like to find something like a vamo chip but small based. doesnt matter if its telescopic or a single tube. thanks for helping

There's a few (at least) that would fit the bill. The sigelei Telescope ZMax would work with an 18490/18500 as would a SmokTech SID. The SID would need an additional tube for the 18500. madvapes sells the SID control head by itself and whichever tube you want separately. If you want to go all out, there's always the ProVari & ProVari Mini. Good luck....

My wife is 4' 10" and has tiny hands, with arthritis. The length of the mod is largely irrelevant to her, except for the additional weight, especially that above her hand. What matters most is the diameter (and again, weight). eGos are 14mm, 14500 mods are 16-18mm, 16340 mods are 18-20mm, and 18350, 18490/18500, and 18650 mods are 20-22mm. A telescoping feature typically adds 2 mm to the diameter.

I usually don't recommend more expensive devices without replaceable batteries, and my wife (thankfully) and I are more fans of mechs, but in your case, if the VW is important, you may also want to consider an Innokin iTaste VV3, although it only has the capacity of an 18350, which is what you're going to get in a regulated mod the same length as an 18490 mechanical.

thanks well the wife has tried a mech but it was way to long for her the length does matter to be able to manipulate it like when she is driving and such. and my mech is about 3.75 just teh tube and she coudlnt handle the length the width is on the border line for her. but she said she would get used to the width of i t. im a mech person its why i posted this question cause vv/vw mods have so much going on with them. thanks for the info. she saw a zmax mini she wants to try rolls eyes.

I gotcha. Have her look at a REO Mini 2.1. It can feed a disposable atty or carto, or use an RDA. That and the drip tip are the only things that make it taller. And it's a mech... remove the battery and you can wash it in the kitchen sink.

REO Mini 2.1 18490:
=====
Height: 3-1/8" including catch cup (a hair shorter than my Simplicity 18500)
Width: 1-5/8”
Depth: 7/8”
ID of catch cup: ~3/5"
Weight: 4.9 oz fully loaded
Uses 3ml bottle & 1 AW IMR 18490 Battery

The...Provari Mini...is almost as short as a 18350 mech.

On average, a regulated mod is going to be about an inch longer than a mech using the same battery--that circuit board and display need room. The Provari Mini, even in the 18350 mode, is over 1/4" longer (and a bit wider) than a Super-T Precise Simplicity 18500 mech. It's over 7/8" longer than the 15 mm shorter Simplicity 18350 model. And we're talking top quality, American-made, stainless steel, maintenance-free palladium plated brass contacts, and lifetime warranty for $120-125.
