I use my 220 Watt capable mod at a whopping 38 Watts. I know... living dangerously. :)

You'll be fine--just don't dial it up too high, and enjoy the days and days of battery life.

As the other posters already mentioned, the answer is yes.
90 percent of my vape time is MTL with 12 - 18 mg e-liquid at 8.5 Watt. I use mods designed for much higher output regularly.
Be aware of the fact that some mods do not behave well below 10 W. Some cheap types will display the tenths of Watt but will change the power to the atomiser at the whole Watt mark, i. e. you only get 7, 8, 9 Watts, the tenths change only on the display. Other mods will fluctuate the voltage rapidly under 10 Watts, you see the tenths and hundredths digits on the display as they were dancing.
If you don't use top mods like a Yihi or Dani box for MTL, I suggest you specifically the Smok R80 or the iStick Power 80 W, which provide a clean and precise output for low power vaping. If you want a replaceable battery 200 W mod for MTL, use the eLeaf Invoke. The Smok R80 remains the sacred graal for MTL due to its circuitry. On the contrary, the Smok R200 is one of the "dancing" types at low power.

I like some tube mods, and I like some gigantic beasts. The only time I ever had a problem was in finding out my Steampunk had a "lower threshold" of 7 watts. I was priming the coil, turned it DOWN, and it spun around to 120 watts, as I guess it does, by design. I would have loved to have known that though, as it was the WORST dry hit I've ever taken. Probably the kind of hit that was used in the "vaping is bad for you if you turn it up 1000000000% study."

Otherwise, it's fine. You won't need super highly rated batteries for wattage either, since you'll be using a nautilus. I use Samsung25s in all my dual battery setups, and sometimes I cannot even remember the last time I changed the batteries.... Probably excellent for my batteries as well, they don't get all stressed out.

The reverse (two LITTLE capacity for a sub0hm tank) is not the case, but you can vape that Nautilus on pretty much whatever appeals to you. Some mods do have "lower wattage" thresholds, so that would be the only caveat I would mention.

I'm using high power box mods for MTL.

The power is there if i want to crank things up a notch or two.

Using high amp batteries too. Prices are relatively the same all round.

So all my hardware is tailored for high power vaping.

Better safe than sorry. Means everything i use is more than capable of providing the power i need.

I'd hate to be using batteries with low amp ratings which diminish through use only to be concerned about it later on.

You do not jump in your car and floor the gas every time you drive nor do you putt around doing 5 miles per hour every time because it wont last. You pick a happy medium. I am a firm believe things like it about 1/2 way or a little higher than half and buy accordingly. That's my opinion. CHEERS!

Yes, thank you very much for the answers to my question.

However, I still have one more question on my mind. For example if I have a sigelei fuschia with 220w (?) could I use a nautilus 2 tank on it with 1.8 bvc coils which rate 10-14w and vape in 10-14w?
Coils i build are 1 ohm approx. I vape at 11.5 watts. I reckon you could probably go a little higher than 14 watts. Just turn it up bit by bit to see how high it can go until it starts to taste bad.

Actually, start priming BELOW the recommended wattage on the coils, about 5 watts if your mod goes that low, some of the higher powered ones start out at 10 watts or in that neighborhood.

If you can't start say, lower then 10, take some priming pulls without firing the mod, to wick juice into the coil. The start at your lowest, taking long slow puffs as you slowly increase wattage. I would say that going over the recommended wattage of the coil is likely to shorten its life considerably. I usually fall on the low end of things and often vape BELOW the coil's recommended wattage. I'd try to stay below it if you can.

Also keep in mind every board on each new mod is likely to have a different power conversion strategy (LOL, I don't know what else to call it, but for example my Tesla Nano Steampunk's 7 watts is usually equal to at least 9--11 on some of my other mods. So with each new device, you should be priming and playing with it, not just going on the printed recommendation, which is really an assessment of what the tank maker feels is reasonable, although you may find your perfect vape somewhere within that range, the best way to find out what is best for you is by going through the priming process... getting to where you like, maybe going a tiny bit higher but backing off if you feel it's too much.

Best of luck with it.

I have that mod. No way it can put out 220 watts. More like 150 watts. Segelei is notorious for exagerating the power of their mods.

Doesn't matter what tank you put on a mod. Just be aware what resistance the coil is and know what power setting those coils use. Recommendations are generally on the packaging or the coil itself.
