Hey guys I'm new to the forum and to the idea of the e-cig. I've been a pack-a-day smoker for the last two years. I made the recent decision to go cold turkey. Haven't had a cigarette in 4 days.....and its KILLING me. I've seen the e-cigs before but remained skeptical so I never made the decision to buy one. Then I found your forum and have been reading up and now I can't wait to buy one! My friends still remain skeptical but I'm definitely willing to give it a go and switch to the e-cig. Which brings me to my main point, what is the best brand/starter kit out there? I've heard good things about the JoyE 510, and I've also heard good things about another company, PrimeVapor LLC. Also do you guys recommend pre-filled cartridges or buying e-liquid? And which one is cheaper/better quality. I'm really looking forward to trying the e-cig so any advice is welcome.

Hello, and welcome to ECF! The 510 is a good e-cig, but if you smoked a pack per day you might find the battery life lacking. The smaller the battery, the shorter the time it will last between charges. I'm not sure how important it is for you to have an e-cig that looks like a cigarette. You might want to consider the KR808D-1 instead. The battery life is better on those. If looks are that important you can go with a Riva or an eGo. These are bigger batteries that look more like a cigar, but last for hours between charges.

Starter kits sometimes come with pre-filled cartridges (carts) but few people like them. You can just rinse them out and fill them with your own juice.

Def. go w/ e-liquid/juice over prefilled cartridges. I am sure you will love the JoyE 510. I am using a boge 510 setup from madvapes and I love it.
also, dont forget to try a drip tip!

I would estimate that about 95% of vapers buy their own juice to refill cartridges/cartomizers.
Well, I guess I am only talking about those lucky enough to find this forum.

being a pack a day smoker I think I would go with a 650Mah battery or better get a kit that has two battery's with it and also I would recommend getting a few extra atomizers incase of one failing on you. Below is links to places I get my stuff from and a good quality

510 it a great starter kit, parts are cheap and you can get them at many different vendors.
riva or ego is a good pick to if you don't mind it looking like a cigar.they also use 510 addys,carts,and cartos,(i have a ego and love it).as for the prefilled yaack i do not like them, you are better off getting a bunch of sample size bottles of juice until you find the one you love. right now i use ry4 most of the day but then i vape my thin mint cookies a bit to.or a good menthol. but that just me you might like something totally different like strawberry waffle hey wait i like that one too
