Hi frank, glad I checked on ECF and found ya.

What exactly are you looking for?

If you want one to look like a cigarette, there's a cheap one at safer cigs (use 'allaboute' for 10% off). It's in the starter kits under £20 section, the intro-vapour. I'd get 2 of them rather than one so you can get a decent run time while you're charging one or the other. That one is Kr808d-1, meaning you could pick up any kr808d-1 cartomiser to use with it. I've tried this one myself, it's a nice light draw but it does feel kinda cheap, get what ya pay for!

If looks aren't important: eGo Riva Starter Kit (use 'aaecuk' for 10% off) the ego will be a good choice. You'll get 3 times the run time between charges compared to the kr808d-1 model. It's not any longer than the kr808, it's just a bit fatter.

If you get the ego which is a 510 model, then I highly recommend you get these low resistance boge 510 cartomisers with it: Boge 510 Low Resistance (5) £5.79 - Vaping Spares - Cartomisers Electronic Cigarettes | Vaping Devices | Accessories | E-Liquid ('allabout' for 10% off)

The low resistance cartomisers will give you the heat and "throat hit" you're looking for in an ecig that you can't get with a kr808d-1. If you can afford it, I would get both if looks are very important. The ego for use at home and the Kr808d-1 from safer cigs if you're worried about how your ecig looks when you're in public. It's only like £7 for the single kr808 so it's not a big chunk of money.

As for "juice", I'd check out kev's selection: 5 x 10ml Pick n Mix - Detailed item view - FreedomVape (UK) you'll get a good few liquids to try at a reasonable price doing it this way.

If you have any other questions, I'd be more than happy to help you out :)

In that case I'd go for the 650mah ego one with the low resistance cartomisers if size is important. To fill them, use the "push/condom method": Filling 510 electronic cigarette cartomizers using the "condom" or "push" method - YouTube

Simple and effective. The ego with low resistance cartomisers is a time tested workhorse of the ecig world and should do you well!

There is the option of the 1100mah riva which is only a bit longer than the ego: http://www.vapeescape.co.uk/the-riva-1100-deluxe-kit~151 'allabout' for 10% off again. 1100mah will double the run time of the ego again, so might suit you better if looks aren't important. More mah = more run time and the riva starts at a higher voltage than the ego so it'll give a better throat hit.

You would need some cartomisers with the riva too, but it's also 510 threaded so any 510 cartomiser would work with it. I would recommend the low resistance ones again: http://www.vapeescape.co.uk/boge-510-low-resistance-(5)~146 for that extra oompfh.

In your shoes, at 40 rollies a day I'd likely take the 1100 mah riva purely for run time and the extra voltage. It's not much more £ for double the run time and a better kick.

The riva and low resistance cartomisers is one of the most recommended ecig setups on the market, I really think you'd be pleased with its performance as your first ecig.

Yes, the echo is a decent ecig. The only perk of the 1100mah riva is that it'll be £20 cheaper to get something of similar size and performance. Either would be great for you. They're both 510 threaded so you can mix and match cartomisers to use with them.

They're essentially the same if you get the manual battery on the echo, which I would recommend over the automatic as autos carry the risk of shorting if you get any juice inside the battery.
