I broke off like two nova threads of the tank into my twist battery, I don't care about the $12 tank but how can I get out the piece that's still threaded in? Any suggestions? I am going to take it into work and see if I can't use a screw extractor kit. I don't wanna toss this batt
Hi dnrtn2342,
How ironic! I did the exact same thing last night in my mini Lambo. I took a small pair of thread cutters from my sewing cabinet and pushed one of the sharp blade tips into the inside of the nova tank threads and unscrewed it (go counterclockwise like you are unscrewing the whole tank out). Came right out.
The hard part is paying for a new Vivi Nova. You can get replacements for everything but the bottom metal cap. If you have a local vaping supplies store, you could go in and see if they have any spare parts. You could also contact the vendor from whom you purchased these products and explain the unusual probability of both breaking in the same location, asking for replacements.
Thought about soldering it back together but it's pretty tiny, we don''t have any soldering material that will hold it permanently and it will probably happen again since it's integrity has been compromised. Must be an inherent weakness in the design. That, or just cheap Chinese materials and workmanship/manufacturing processes.
Good luck!
