I have a negative pressure gauge on my furnace Air Handler. It indicates that the brand new HEPA filter is 25% clogged in 10 days. Before vaping the old filter lasted 7 months. These filters cost $15 dollars each (ouch).

I also noticed a very fine white powder collecting around my bedroom, which is the only place I vape because my computer desk is in here.

The Air Handler is located just outside my door and keeps any particles from spreading through the house. I have not seen this white powder anywhere else.

I use VG exclusively; is this powder from the VG or does VG even condense into anything at all?

Anyone else experiencing this at their home. Or is my house just plain ole' dirty.

VG certainly does condense.... but I've never seen it condense into a power.... just an oil-like water-soluble film.

The "acid test" for me is my car windshield (the inside). Back in my smoking days it would get nasty and I'd clean it with Windex. The paper towel would be brown and pretty disgusting. Now.. it gets a film on it... but it is "clear" and wipes away easily.

$.02.

I kinda' figured it might be dust, as I haven't seen this type of discussion here.

My house is certainly closed up tight because it is winter. I did notice the filter gauge moved up faster after the heat was turned on last November.

I think I will purchase a thin sheet of foam filter from Home Depot to put on top of the HEPA. It will be washable in the sink and prolong the life of my HEPA.
