Herakles Wattage?

Hey all!

New to the forums and was wondering if anyone has found a good wattage for the Herakles subtank with the .2 coil. I mainly use it on the sig 150 but every wattage I try seems to either spit, not taste right (not bad just not right), or both. Maybe vaping on volt I stead of watts is the answer? Any input is much appreciated!

I typically run mine at 60 watts on the same mod. I do notice a little preheat time is necessary, like half a second or so. I don't recall any spitting, but I don't use it much either.

I guess it's not really spitting, it just gets a lot of juice buildup in the drip tip after a few puffs and is kind of a hassle to keep cleaning it out when I want a vape

What wattage are you using now? Sounds like you may be using a low wattage or possibly pulling a little to hard?

what tanks/toppers have you used before?

if it's your first tank and you're trying to vape on a 0.2 ohm coil, you could be jumping too far ahead.

some juices pop a lot; pg/vg/h2o ratio can affect that.
helps to already have some experience with lower wattages before going to higher wattages

I have a maganus, arctic, atlantis, and 2 herakles (both gifted) all with an adjustable airflow tip. Been using a 90vg/10pg thinking that would help some but to no avail. Also have tried a 70/30 and a 50/50. I have plenty of experience with low wattages and high wattage, just heard so much about how great these tanks perform but I just can't seem to find that magic number. Not a new vaper, just been lurking for quite some time and decided to sign up

Fortunately you have both a maganus and arctic tanks both of which are far superior to the herakles tank. By the way the herakles is known for having some spit back issues (kinda like the atlantis v2). In my experience the .5 & .6 ohm coils worked better than the .2 ohm coils (with the exception of the Arctic) in these tanks. With the .2 heads & 70/30 juice I could never really crank up the wattage over 70W. With the .6 in the herakles I can easily vape the same juices at 50-60watts.

I was shipped a herakles by mistake and tried it out.
I gave it away.
Nothing wrong with it.
Just wasn't for me.
Every one has a top that speaks to them,
And although a lot of people really like the herakles, I found I need to build my own.

I don't get any spit back or popping like I did in the Subtank Mini. That thing was terrible.

I use a range of juice, MaxVG, 70/30, 50/50. Sigelei 150 as well.
.2 coil depending on the juice, watts between 66 and 80.
.6 coil 75-100 watts.
I prefer the .2 coils.

I find the Herakles on par with the Crown.
Most reviews I've read rate the Herakles/Arctic/Starre as all being fairly similar.

Your mileage may vary because you drive differently.

Oh, is it a brand new coil? It was brought to my attention when I first got the Crown, that you may need to run a tank or two before the flavor gets better. I agree. It's not a night and day thing, but it is noticeable. The GEM, Alliance (RDA), Herakles, and the Crown have been the first atties that have given me "as described" flavors, and all deliver similar great levels of flavor. Better than the Subtank Mini, Cthulu, Lemo2, and Magma clone.

It ran flawless for the first few tanks then it started spitting so I changed the heads thinking that was the problem and no luck, I've actually have tried multiple heads through it. Might have to sell them and get myself a new toy The maganus is by far the best tank I've owned and keeps up with my 90/10 like a champ

I just picked up a Herakles yesterday, and have run nothing but high VG juice through it (80/20 I think) and it just pumps out clouds and flavor, with zero spitback. I'm running it with the 0.2 Ohm coil at 45 watts. Haven't yet tried the 0.6 Ohm coil.

I figured out that if I close the airflow when I fill it and then open it quickly it reduces spit back
