Here's my thoughts:
Their rules, their house.
Either follow the rules or stay somewhere else.
If you challenge my rules in my house you will be ejected. Period.
My business isn't publicly funded.

That said, the hotel mentioned having to wash the bedding.

They basically said they don't wash bedding after each costumer leaves, and apparently it's an expensive chore for them to do so.

Why would you want to stay in a filthy place like that?

May be their costumers don't use the bed, who knows.
May be their costumers are using the sheets to make costumes.
I'll bet their customers wouldn't be happy to find out they don't change the sheets between their costumers & customers stay, but then again would there even be any sheets left?

When I was much younger I used to travel a lot for work and our crew stayed in some really shoddy establishments.
We would sleep in our sleeping bags on the beds rather than in their nasty linens.

checking in to a motel in the Denver IA area, the man wanted to go into detail as I was initialing the form about not smoking in the room - "no cigarettes, pipes, p**, cigars, vaporizers" I stopped him and asked how he would know if someone used a vaporizer and his answer was it gets into the sheets. The usual $250 cleaning fee..........Guess they would have to get some laundry detergent.
I figured he was still mad because he had to quit smoking to be socially acceptable, but was real proud. Ya know for the rest of your life you are going to crave that cigarette. My brother who hasn't smoked for more than 20 years still reaches into his empty shirt pocket.
Do they not change and launder the sheets each day!?!?

Ewww!

I am absolutely shocked that there are people who would not vape in their hotel room because rules.
This is a mindset that is completely foreign to me.

Afraid to set off the fire alarm, sure, I get that.
But because rules?

Ouch.

Well, you guys do what you want.
I'll be vaping in my hotel room though.

You can bet on that.

You can do what you want. There are times to break the rules and times not to. Setting off a fire alarm and having 3000 people vacate a large hotel is not one of them.

I try to respect others as I would want to be respected.

Exactly.

I WILL vape EVERYWHERE I used to smoke.

And then some.

About 18 yrs and no fire alarms yet.

A (very) little intelligence goes a long, long way...

I recall someone reporting that they had just left an eliquid bottle on a table when the cleaners went thru and when they got the bill upon checkout, their was a $250 charge.
    hmmm.....
    I'd fight that one.
Just because I left a pk of cigs in view, dosen't mean I smoked them in the room.........
