You're not using it as your only pv. That's what we're saying. No one said not to get one. But if it's the only one you have, you may get a little frustrated with the short battery life. I have a 510 as well as an ego. I would never keep vaping if my only pv was a 510. I'd go nuts with batteries.

i agree wholeheartedly! in fact, i once had a 510 as my only pv...for about 4 days.

after which, i was very happy with my Egos/Rivas until i got my Echo 1300...i'm now so spoiled with its capacity and battery life, i can't imagine ever going back.

i also use an Ego pass-through to help conserve the overall battery life of my Echos (for those who don't know what an Ego pass-through is, it's an Ego battery that you can plug into your computer so you can vape your brains out without ever having a dead battery!).

and btw, i am far from rich...i purchased my stuff over several months, out of my "pv's and supplies budget," which was for half the amount i'd usually spend on analogs, and put the other half in a savings account...and this month, for the first time ever, i FINALLY didn't "need" anything new, so i took June's pv money and my savings and bought myself an adorable Yorkie pup.

Lot's of information. After wandering through many an advice thread it seems like shape really isn't the thing but taste and feel of it.

Also that it seems more practice to start out with a higher intake of nicotine as you can always delude it, and it seems to quell the need for the analog easier.

Plenty of good tips on what type of cig to buy, but there's just one thing more that halts my decisions. It looks like from other complaint posts that some e cigs just burn through atomizers like crazy. Leaving a burnt taste after days or even a couple weeks of use. I mean that could get expensive.

Any suggestions on models that are good on atomizers?

I don't use atomizers. I use cartomizer which are the atomizer and cartridge together. You can use two piece which is a cartomizer and battery, or a three piece which is a cartridge, atomizer and battery.

The cartridge holds a little piece of foam like material that you drip the juice on and place it on the atomizer. You place this on your battery. Cartomizers have a built in atomizer.

Cartomizers are disposable but can be used over several times. They cost about $7 - $8 for a package of 5. It's probably more cost effective to use carts & atomizers (unless they die) but to me the cartomizer is easier and holds more juice.

I'd go with a "510".

The regular size is about the same as a cigarette and there are a ton of options, cartomizer/atomizers that fit a 510. Also, if your mom decides she likes e-Cigarettes but wants more battery life, she can move up to an eGo or Riva and all her old cartomizers and atomizers will fit.

I have the same recommendation. 510 is the best option in my mind and is the most flexible for a switch if needed.

I think I'll prolly go with those cartomizer things. Seems more hassle free just buy em use em, and dump em without worrying if it'll screw up or if you cleaned it well enough.

Thanks for all the suggestions and advice. Really helped a great deal.

Also For anyone new and looking to buy as well. I had noticed something while comparing prices. In a starter kit everything is bundled up nice and neat. Everything you need is there plus some fluff. However in comparing individually I found I don't actually need everything sold in the kit.

For instance who here has a somewhat recent cell phone? Now I don;t know about you but the one I own comes with a wall plug that has a usb slot on the side. That's 11 bucks right there saved. Another thing is car charges for those same phones. I plug it into the cig lighter and it to has a usb slot right on it to plug into.

Course im a nut for having cables of every shape and size for anything electronic. Still it's something to think about. Put that $20 bill back in your pocket.

Thanks again.

...

Good, so now 1/2 of the battle is over. Now the most important part.

What type of e-Liquid are you going to get to put in the cartomizers? Because the BEST setup is still going to taste like garbage if you use poor e-Liquid.

Tobacco flavors is something I can’t help you with. I gave up on them because I never found one that matched what I was looking for. Many people say that Backwoods Brew makes good tobacco flavors but I have never tried them.

I can tell you this. You are Most Likely not going to find a decent tobacco flavor in a pre-filled cartomizer. Maybe you will but chances are you should consider going with Blank cartomizers and filling them yourself.
