I "wasted" a lot of money before I ever found Vaping!
Cigarettes were obviously a bad return on investment since they kept me sane but limited my life (in many ways) and threatened my health.
Then, over my 40+ years of being a reluctant smoker, I "wasted" money on pills (Zyban and Champix), patches, gum (nic and no-nic), peppermints, books, CDs, DVDs, hypnotists, traveling to support groups, and I stopped just slightly short of Voodoo spells or visiting the Pope. Some of these were successful for a day or so, some combinations for a couple of years. I have never tried to calculate the cost of all these things.
With Vaping, I count every penny. I threw a few hundred dollars into "slim batts" and pre-filled cartos. They got me to 2-4 smokes a day, so they were not a complete loss. If they had cost me money and didn't provide any benefit, then I would call it a loss.
I went to kGo 1100 pass-through, 1000 Twist, and iTaste. I love them all. My "go to" is a Twist with Vivi Nova 2.5. (soon to try the Mini Vivi Nova).
My greatest wishes? That the Star Dust would work as good as it looks and that iTaste would have something reliable that would fit under the top cap.
ECF is all about helping others! I'm sure your post will help many people avoid some money wasting "first steps" that we all wish we had been warned about.
Relax, Enjoy!
