Hex screw problems

My old school grand has the hex screw holding in the spring. I'm currently trying to install the new SO kit, but that damn screw won't budge. Has anyone drilled it out?

Try turning the old spring on the inside to see if you can loosen it a little and get it started.

My biggest problem with changing the spring on my old Grand was finding a .050 Allen wrench. I have lots of Allen wrenches but none of that size and there wasn't one to be found in the metropolis of Colville, WA. Eventually ordered one off Amazon.

I had to resort to using my knife. It worked pretty good. BTW, my Grand is all fixed up and firing like a champ now.
