Hey all, I picked up a Hexohm a few days ago. Yesterday it was firing very weak. Today it's not firing at all. Well the coil will warm ever so slightly but it will not glow red hot. The builds I've been using are 0.57 and 0.65 ohm on it. The batteries are in good health and fully charged, checked them on a multi meter. The build is fine, no shorts, checked it on other mods.
Has anyone encountered this issue, maybe the potentiometer?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First I would check the output voltage with a multimeter or screw on meter if you have one. With a multi meter touch one lead to the center pin of the connector, the other lead to the threaded outside part of the connector then fire it. Turn the pot all the way down and test then all the way up and test and several points in between if you want. If that fails something is wrong inside and if you've just had it a few days it should be covered.

If that checks out try another atty at regular ohms then go from there. I've got several OKR regulated mods but I don't sub ohm with them so I don't know how they react that low.

Also what batteries are you using, going that low do not use anything but high amp batteries like the Sony VTC5. You'll be stressing lesser batteries and bad things could happen.

Thanks for the reply! I use the VTC5's for the Hex Ohm so that should be okay. I tried screwing on a inline voltmeter and what happens is I get a low voltage when I turn the potentiometer down to 3-5 volts. Once I crank it up to 6 volts, it gives me a read of about 3.2 volts and then screen goes blank and comes back to 3.2. There must be a short somewhere in the circuit. Thanks again for your help.
