10 days ago I woke up and had my morning coffee & cigarette ritual then proceed to go buy 2 packs of smokes. Got back into my car after purchasing them and was about to pack/open one and decided to drive over to this vape shop I had been to 6 months ago. Picked up the aspire premium kit (nautilus mini & CF VV+ Battery) and began my journey into quality vaping beyond the crappy EGO/BDC's I had in the past.

Long story short... here we are 10 days out, no desire to smoke those two packs... in fact I actually gave one away today to someone who asked if I smoked. That was the first time in 6+ years I said "no I don't smoke" and said "I vape now".

I've already gone a bit balls out and moved up to the Atlantis & CF Sub OHM battery and have a VaporShark rDNA40 order in place (hopefully it won't be a month.. eta was 10 business days to ship).

I had the same experience... kind of. A vape shop opened next to my car wash and while I was waiting for my car to be serviced, walked over on a whim. Got one of these iSmoka Eleaf iJust Variable Voltage Full Kit from the shop an ended up giving the rest of my analogs away the next day. Best whim I ever had. Welcome to the site and I hope you find it as cool of a new place as I do.

HAHA! that sounds like an amazing whim/spontaneous decision. I'm really liking the wealth of information and knowledgeable people so far :)

Have you found it hard to go back to the VV+/Nautilus once you got the Atlantis/Sub Ohm setup? I think once my rDNA40 comes I'll be putting my nauti's to good use with the new Nickel Temperature Sensing coils.

I prefer the mini/vv+ due to its size. I like to hold it between my fingers. The 5mm difference between the vv+ and the sub ohm batteries is noticable. Preferences aside, the atlantis/sub ohm setup is better. :)

To answer your actual question, no. I vape both regularly and love them the same.

congrats!!! It's a great feeling isn't it!! I smoked for 36+ years and vaping is the only thing that enabled me to quit. I never wanted to quit, but didn't want to end up on oxygen more than I didn't want to quit. At least you've got some great choices now in really good equipment!

+1 This

Its amazing to know and see what was, what is, and what will be.

Wow! That is amazing to hear after so many years of smoking. Analogs definitely can have a strong hold onto you, it's amazing what these devices can do to help you kick them. I had previously tried cold turkey, patches, gum and the Blu's back in 2009-10 and all failed until now!

Thanks for sharing

jup.........there are many who smoked for even much longer than I did that were finally able to kick it with vaping. It is amazing!

That's for sure, I'm going to try and show my Aunt the gear I've got next time I pop by her house.. That'll be awesome if she's interested. I think she's been smoking 50+ years. Saw this video the other day :)

John, I smoked 37 years and the day I got the first ecigarette I never turned back. It IS phenomenal. What an invention. Just glad it happened in my lifetime! :)

Congrats! I highly doubt I'll be going back, after 3-5 days and having my smell come back I intentionally went outside and smelled my ashtray full of butts and I think that sealed the deal on how disgusted I am with them now.

I see you have a Mount Baker Vapor signature... do you DIY your juice or buy their premixed stuff?

I just buy what they mix and it is super good and the price is right!! I'm not one for fiddling around with anything anymore. The most I DIY is fill it up and go.

What a great video! thanks for sharing that. Good luck with your aunt. Sometimes older folks can be resistant, because it just seems weird. But hopefully she'll try it and like it. Just don't seem like you're trying to force it, we don't like that
