To summarize the answers for any lurkers out there:
well my next purchase payday is a Chuck fitted for a 510 atomizer and with rebel flag graphics and I have a few questions.
Does it come with
batteries?
No, it uses standard Lithium 3.0 or 3.7 V batteries (18650, RCR123A, CR2(with sleeve)). Under the Thag Built forum there is a sticky thread on what and where to purchase for batteries.
Using a separately purchased external battery charger.
Does it come with a charger?
Nope, just the unit itself.
How long is the turn around from purchase to delivery on average?
Jeff has been running a hair under 30 days turnaround. Faster without custom graphics, but since that is a lot of the point... Order one and discover the world of pr0n stalking.
What are the positives and negatives?
Positives: Solidly built, no electronics to fail, personalized custom graphics, 3.7 or 6V (Big Chuck) vaping, great service / support, good vapor volume at lower voltage due to consistent power delivery in a low resistance current path, incredibly long battery life (18650).
Negatives: The wait for the unit to arrive (which is actually fun once you have one in your hands but really sucks waiting for your first), the switch, no master switch.
I'd appreciate input from the Chuck owners out there!
I own three chucks (two big (510, 401), one little (401/Cartomizer)). I also own a 401, a Laser mod, a Bartleby, a 5V box mod and just ordered a GGTS and preordered the mystery mod from ecigmods. When I am sitting at my desk, I use the chuck. When I am going to be out and about for a while, I take the big chuck. When I need to stealth vape, I use the laser mod. When I'm craving a cig, I use the 5V. When I'm walking around the office, I use the Bartleby. For battery life and consistent long term vapor production, the Chuck is my number one. (Plus it looks great as a desk ornament or as a conversation starter.)
